If he made you a mod, I know who you would ban first

The necessities have already been mentioned. Follow in those same guidelines and you'll have a strong group to maintain things the right way

Please post constructive and quantitative items. (like someone with x posts, past moderating experience, and so on)
Not crap like someone better than current moderatos. I am trying to improve the site so let’s post like adults for a minute. Otherwise, stay out of this thread.

i suggested the opposite of the current mods (case in point what that mod just did) then two suggestions, another serious suggestion which I know your probably against but talk to the admins on other cobalt sites and just other forums in general. A lot of mods on the other two cobalt sites are on here and neither of those two sites have problems with moderators.

I think that those longer term members that were banned a while back, when the site was going through some issues (CC08 Era) should be unbanned. I feel that the older members added alot to the site, and we still do, me being one of them. I think that we should be allowed another chance, because in the long run, we were some of the OG's on the site, which helped make the site what it is,. and most of the members on the site today, wouldnt be here if it wasnt for us, reffering people to the site, especially locals. I know we did a ton of that here in wisconsin, with Team Rev and everything.

I feel that there was a period where there were some power trips going on with moderators and a lot of members got banned for some BS reasons, when they could have been given more chances.

I know for one, that I have been on the site since 2006, and I had over 13k posts until I was banned, thats alot of posts for being a premium member and being banned in 2008.

dont think you can really put it in quantitative terms. i say you go back through guys you know have been here for a while, arent just guys posting in ***** threads, have contributed pretty well to the site in various aspects (body work, suspension modification, drag racing, road course, etc.), and are willing to tell the dumb people to sit back and learn before just ruining the site with the same stupid threads over and over.

I think this is going to start getting redundant. The same stuff keeps coming up and will continue to. Talk to the guys that have been around and I'm sure the same names will keep popping up as recommended moderators...

Someone that actually up holds the current rules of the site. Biggest is prices and pics when selling goods. Too many people are getting ripped off, and no mod does anything to stop it.

Mods should act in a mature fashion and not resort to calling members names also.

Fact is, I blew my motor, and i had help from a few local members and I rebuilt it with my bare hands. I didn't take it anywhere, I put the pistons in, I torqued the connecting rod bolts, I spec'd everything myself. Not knowing what I was getting into. I learned sooo much from it I could write a freaking book. Then on top of it, I pieced together a turbo kit, for under 1200 bucks, and converted my lsj. I don't do my tuning, but I'm pretty sure I can answer a few questions on the site.

Honestly there isn't anything we can do. We don't decide who people buy stuff from. I think we should adopt itrader, the ebay feedback system, or something similar to where feedback can be incorporated into people's profiles so you know if they are scam artists or not.

Just a copy and paste of a good PM that’s on the right track
Willing to carry our forum rules but still able to think
Able to work with members
Level headed when there is a need to "moderate"
Actively contributing
A drive to develop the forum
A passion for cars and the forum in general
Doesn't use foul language often
Does not insult members, ever
Should be a person people feel comfortable talking to
Feel free to PM me more like this
