if you're on here, your left brake light is out

 

its odd to hear of all the cobalts in this area when I rarely see any of them. I saw a yellow one once by TMS....ran them down and played chase for a lil bit, but she kept going. No clue who she was though.

im usually not in that area, there was an autox at tms today. i see alot of balts in the grand prairie/arlington area where i live, and there's a pretty good concentration in the north dallas area.

 

I am NW of fort worth, out west of TMS. However, I work in Irving. I see a lot of cobalts, but rarely the SS SCs

the next one is november 10th and 11th, in mineral wells. and the last one for this year is november 18th at lagrave field in ft worth. ive got to goto both to qualify for end of year trophy. the sat sun event in mineral wells is actually two events so you can come to either or both. its a very large event site and the speeds are usually higher out there, ive never been to lagrave field this will be my first time out there. ill shoot you a pm when it gets closer

 

Is the one in Mineral Wells at that old airfield? Do you know what the surface is like out there? If it's the place I'm thinking of it looks like concrete from the aerials...just wondering if it's grooved and how hard it would be on the tires.

 

it is abrasive, it's concrete with exposed aggregate and little pieces of rock chip off making it loose.

 

Hmm, I'm not sure I will be doing that then. I'm not really wanting to wear too hard on my tires.

 

Jim you sure it wasnt my black cobalt now with a high rise spoiler, drop/rims, m3 mirrors, hids, lol.

no the car had a low rise spoiler, sunroof was open and a young kid driving. pretty good, modding away. looking at getting a fidanza flywheel, clutch and a lsd soon.

yea you really need to get some dedicated tires to have a good time. currently i have the oem steelies with falken 615's on them, 15x8 sport max rims with the hoosier's, 18x7.5 enkei's with street tires and as soon as i have one of my 17x7 rsl elite wheels repaired ill be putting more race rubber on them, im gonna see if the shorter sidewall helps maintain some speed in the turns.

its weird hearing somebody mention mineral wells on here because that's where i'm from. don't live there anymore however. i'm going to school in san marcos right now, but i still have a balt... never tried autox though. and yes the track out there is pretty abrasive... i used to go watch Porsche races out there. They still hold them if i remember correctly. Well, maybe when i'm back in the area visiting family i'll be able to catch one of the events.
