I was just talking to one of my friends that works for the GPD, apparently there was some fuss over the last meet over in Grapevine, and at one of his department meetings they stressed keeping a watchful eye over cars that fit a certain profile. Their main target is tuner cars. One of their examples he states are cars that sport the large "tuner" wings. He went so far as to mention that the tuner crowd in large groups would be subject to harrassment since apparently the last meet out there created some heat. From what he said, about 20 or so calls were made regarding "wreckless driving, excessive displays of speed, and aggressive driving" within a 10 minute span in the same general area. If you drive through Grapevine, be very conservative.

Just like tonight here in IL, these 2 guys were gonna go race....and it was supposed to be the 2 cars....i was riding with one...we go out into the country, didnt tell anyone else that was around...

sure enough, there was 8 different cars that went out, being stupid, revving engines...

we lined up, raced and left...everyone else stayed...i got a phone call saying that 7 state troopers showed up and ticketed everyone.

 

Well I dont know that I'll be going out to the next grapevine meet, i dont really want to deal with cops/mall rent-a-cops

 

I got an update from my buddy. He said he saw a Cobalt SS in the impound lot the other day. Anyone here? I don't really believe it was an SS though, because he said it was a dark red. I don't think that color is available on the SS. I told him to double check next time he's out there to make sure its an SS. He also said he's going to get a license plate number and run a check on it. Stay tuned.
