Hey everyone, looking for local area junkyards with good deals on LSJ engines or blocks. Im willing to travel for good deals, post what you have seen

I know there are several good ones in grand prarie, and here in kennedale. I'd also head up to decatur swap meet this next weekend.

There's one down in Alvarado with an LSJ. Not sure what condition or price. Robert knows the name of it cause he got his speedo off that car.

Ah, I didnt know. I figured it would have lasted longer down here. Only other places I know with alot of salvage yards is business 287 in Kennedale. Theres a website I used when looking for a PCM that let me search a set radius. Dont know if you've used it, but if I can think of the site I'll post it up just in case.

Edit: Carparts.com is the site I was thinking of. I think it even shows prices and condition as well.

Yea ive been trying that but several of the ones ive seen on there were damaged and they were still asking $1k+ for them

That sucks. What kind of time frame are you on to get one? I haven't hit up junk yards in a while, but I can keep my eye open and if I find something decent I'll let you know. And I know you said you wouldnt mind driving to get one, how far are you willing to travel?

Ill check with them

Im willing to drive as far as it takes within reason, like I wouldnt drive to OKC for $1k motor, but I would for a $300 one, just depends on the deal. Running isnt required as I will be sending it out for sleeves. Im not on an absolute time crunch but the sooner the better as I want the car running before summer rolls around

Have you seen this? I dont know if they are willing to part out the motor, but it might be worth a shot.
