Ehh, the Bash is Scott's baby and I don't want take that over from him. Personally, I love it as is, but another meet and greet / picture day / cruise a couple months apart would help spark up interest, without playing out the car show aspect. (plus it would save us the headache of finding a track, making trophies, etc)

that would be fun mabey just like a statewide meet like we did in 08, have everyone meet at one place for lunch, then have a cruise, then have a after party some where, make it a weekend thing so people can stay at a hotel if they want

What I didn't like: The drama

i like the track and the show. dont wanna drop that. i say we add a lonestar cruise/meet as a separate thing tho. so we have 2 big events a yr. i like having gm specific stuff

 

well maybe we could just do a mid event in San Antonio. doesn't have to be as big. maybe we could BBQ at my house and then hit up midnight madness for those that want to get a jump on some grudge matches for next years bash.

my house has lot's of parking and the track is 2 miles from my house.

Yea, that's something else I was thinking about, but was trying to keep mine a little bit north to help out our DFW/OK folks.

But a cookout / race night at some point down the line would be baller too.

 

its fine...dfw goes almost anywhere and OKC just taggs along cuz its fun too....aslong as soom of the drama bs drops off then we dont mind partying it up

 

Fo sho, there wouldn't be any real contests so there's nothing to get butthurt over, but I wouldn't be inviting the troublemakers anyhow since they threatened people. Don't want to risk someone getting attacked.

 

hey you been to my place there is always things to do. and talking to my guys they all got excited about holding a gm of sa BBQ. maybe near the end of summer or the fall time. that way it is lettle further way from the Bash.

For sure dude. We should get together sometime and make plans so we're not trying to compete with eachother.

But like Rico said, the Saturday MMs are usually packed or filled with bracket racers. I'll probably come down on a Wednesday within a few weeks, we can meet up and talk shop then if you're free. PM me your digits.

 

MM in SA is WAY too packed. its ok for us local guys cus we just hang out with each other anyway..but for racing its horrible..its like all of sa shows up on that one night. IF the owner of sar would have a tnt that wasnt mid week or late night saturday it would work out so much better

Ya I talked to your camera guy and he was like they paid to get in so they can be in the pic. lol and I was like ya but in the middle front. I mean what does that say about a gm Bash. gotta stay true to our roots or next we will have mustangs sneaking into the picture.

but honestly you would think the sentra and miata owners would have not attempted to be in the pic in the first place.

 

i like the idea of having it at bens, and possibly dragging.

ya talking to the guys we have 3 birthdays in August. Tyrone (zduece), John (red G8) and Joesph (dragonsfire) so we usually always do a party at my house for them 3. so look for us to post a saturday in August.
