new and have questions

So i just purchased a 07 cobat and well like the fuel econ over my trans am. 8 miles to the gal on the highway. hee hee. But I just found out i'm having problem with it. I took it to the dealership cause at high rpms it would lose fuel pressure and misfire. I have to come to find out that it has a larger pulley ( 272 i think ), cold air intake, exhaust, and the possibility of larger injectors. Now the dealerships states that it needs a tune but i don't know where in oklahoma or dallas to get a tune. Or is there a couple of smaller items that i need to add real quick before i do the tune. Also where can i find out the injector size that it has in it and what is the stock boost on these puppies??

Oh by the way my name is tony. Thanks guys

that would be a 60# injector...seems as though you have yourself a quick lil 'balt if you can get it tuned, and stock boost on them is ~11-12 psi

it's okay. but it sure shakes the ground when it idles. But there are new plans here soon for it. that motor is going in a rx-7 and i'm tring to decide on waiting for the ls-9 or building a twin turbo ls-7 with nitro. figure on about 1400hp should do it.

see i don't know if there are any. There is a place here that does ls v8's but they won't touch the cobalt, and there is a place they said they would do it for 600$ but damn my ls6 doesn't cost that much to tune. Does anybody know where i can find a place near oklahoma???

and do you guys recommend the zzp tunes???

Yeah...you can't get a dealership tune so don't bother. Find a place that dynotunes...there should be a bunch in texas maybe some scattered in oklahoma.

I feel ya bro, i came from the V-8 world and thought oh hp is all that matters those are the big numbers but i have noticed nobody around here really cares about those numbers they want to know if you can put that number to the ground and drive the damn thing so take it to the track some night and let us know how she works for ya...AFTER TUNING IT

Okay i did buy credits. and did a some what of a canned tune. It stoped misfiring at low rpms BUT as soon as it warms up she misfires at full open throttle. I guess i need to check the spark plugs to see if one didn't

If you are having a problem with dilevering enough fuel at high rpms,

have you checked the fuel filter? It could be reducing the pressure available to the engine... Since your car is modified, it will need more fuel pressure than a stock one, and might jsut be enough to cause your problem.

Wow, okay, you have a lot of stuff going on here that it seems the cars previous owner stuck you with. What you need to do is get the car to a tuning shop. Let them inventory the aftermarket modifications done to the car and then have them write a custom tune for you. That would be the best course of action.
