new and have questions
So i just purchased a 07 cobat and well like the fuel econ over my trans am. 8 miles to the gal on the highway. hee hee
. But I just found out i'm having problem with it. I took it to the dealership cause at high rpms it would lose fuel pressure and misfire. I have to come to find out that it has a larger pulley ( 272 i think ), cold air intake, exhaust, and the possibility of larger injectors. Now the dealerships states that it needs a tune but i don't know where in oklahoma or dallas to get a tune. Or is there a couple of smaller items that i need to add real quick before i do the tune. Also where can i find out the injector size that it has in it and what is the stock boost on these puppies??
Oh by the way my name is tony. Thanks guys

first try and find out what size pully it is exactly..should say on the pully , i have no idea what 272 is and find out what size injectors, compare to how the stage 2 ones from gm look or post a pic see if any one recognizes them oh and welcome
okay give me a couple of min. and i'll have pics for ya.
okay the pulley is a zz performance 2.7, and the injectors are edge products with 2 different # moo200 and 6051q00218

holy crap the gauge is showin close to 20 pounds at open throttle till it fuel cuts.
it's okay
. but it sure shakes the ground when it idles. But there are new plans here soon for it. that motor is going in a rx-7 and i'm tring to decide on waiting for the ls-9 or building a twin turbo ls-7 with nitro. figure on about 1400hp should do it.

no canned tunes are crap, ask some members on teh regional section on the forum that are near u where to get tuned..with a 2.7 and 60# injectors u hsoul dbe pretty damn quick
as long as its tuned right, thats the main thing..good tune = u pretty damn zippy
^^^agreed canned tunes=doody there has to be someone who will help you out otherwise spend a lil extra cash and go a state or two away and get one of the good guys to do it still may be lookin at 300-400 bucks but it will be worth it

x2 going over a state possibly 2 and getting one of the good guys is ideal...when i need a tune after warranty is over i'll be driving down into washington from good ol canada lol
mid- high 13's really depends on ur tune though, hp wise..its just a number some dyno low and have awesome 1/4 miles it really depends on the dyno so its just to brag really doesn't mean much so don't raelly worry about it
I feel ya bro, i came from the V-8 world and thought oh hp is all that matters those are the big numbers but i have noticed nobody around here really cares about those numbers they want to know if you can put that number to the ground and drive the damn thing so take it to the track some night and let us know how she works for ya...AFTER TUNING IT
If you are having a problem with dilevering enough fuel at high rpms,
have you checked the fuel filter? It could be reducing the pressure available to the engine... Since your car is modified, it will need more fuel pressure than a stock one, and might jsut be enough to cause your problem.

Wow, okay, you have a lot of stuff going on here that it seems the cars previous owner stuck you with. What you need to do is get the car to a tuning shop. Let them inventory the aftermarket modifications done to the car and then have them write a custom tune for you. That would be the best course of action.
