I'd like to have a strut brace on there before I go, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get one ordered and installed by then... As it is, the only suspension mod I have is the ingalls

yea i just browsed thru the rule book and it seems so with the torque dampener, but you should sign up for the novice class so you really wont be going up against the guys that run street mod. last sunday there was a wrx sti running in street mod that had to be making at least 400 whp they were tuning it with a laptop between runs and had like two or three guys there as a mini pit crew. just dont worry about trying to match those guys times, have fun and youll learn how to be fast with seat time.
actually the stock ls runs in the h stock category and should be very competative there. get some extra stock size wheels with hoosiers or khumo 710's and youre set.

I just filled out my registration form and I went ahead and put street mod on there. I know I wont have a chance against the crazy modders, mainly I want to have fun. If I can, I'll ask about the novice classification on the class day or event #1.

a couple of hours classroom as a whole group with question and answer time. the rest of the day everyone is sorted by car type front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, all wheel drive and each group has its own instructor whos very accomplished with that format of car. you make a couple of laps with the instructor riding with you wait and watch as the others make laps with the instructor. then the instructor will drive your car with you riding shotgun so you can watch how he controls the car afterwards hell tell you what he did on which corner in case you were too busy hanging on to watch him. the class is well worth the fifty bucks, its very similar to the evolution performance driving school for alot less money.
