Here is the e-mail that I sent him. I hope they will consider some of this info to help out the classes. He said he wanted the good and the bad.
I have been trying to join in on the discussions here(tms.com) but its been almost 2 weeks and can't get a password.
I don't want to sound like I am bitching or putting this event down, but the following are just a few of my concerns and suggestions . I came out the first week and paid $20 for just a few runs, how is that suppose to appeal to street racers? Street racing is free you can run as many times as you want, you get to pick who you want to race, and you don't have to sit in your car with the AC off, windows up, and wearing a HOT helmet. If I didn't get a free pass, I along with 12 people that I came with or talked with, would not have came out for week 2. At a true race track its $10-15 dollars there is less rules, no helmets and they understand its texas and its hot and don't threaten to kick you out if you want to run your AC while waiting to race who you want as many times as you want, and unless you are super fast you don't have to wear a helmet, plus you get time slips. If you are indeed trying to appeal to street racers the rules and eliminations are not the way to due so. I don't street race but used to and I know TONS of people that do and these are the concerns that most of them share with me. If you want to hear these conversations just walk threw and talk to the racers waiting to race in every class.
Now on to the classes. I don't know tons about the classes that I am not in but I do know several people in every class. If this event is going to continue on as a competition I feel that it needs to be more fare and as of now it is in no way far. The cars should be evenly matched threw out the classes to give allot of the drivers good races. Some of the cars are going up against a car that they know they do not have a shot against and get knocked out, then buy their way back in only to line up against another car that they have no chance of beating. I am in the tuner class and that is the class that I know most about and have talked to allot of my competitors during the little down time that we have. I drive a black 09 Cobalt SS sedan and I don't think it is fair that naturally aspirated cars have to race me. There should be a 3-6 cyl NA tuner class for those guys. Also from my stand point I think there should be a 3-6 cyl forced induction tuner class, were its just the FWD and RWD cars. Then there should be final tuner class for AWD cars, and cars that are stock but want to run drag radials and slicks. I think this set up would make it more fun for the drivers of each class.
Tuner class:
Tuner NA
Tuner FI
Tuner AWD, DR, Slicks
This setup would not take any longer because you would run those 3 groups as one, just lined up like that. This would make people allot happier. I also think you should give the winner of each class a bi round or two for the following week. The EVO that is in the tuner class is faster than ANY car in the class above us. He knocks out all the cars that would be good competition for many of us. I talked with him and he was confident in this aswell, I like him and his car but people in that class know if he is there in that class no one has a chance and its not worth competing and wasting the money. I know if I don't find another free pass I will not be there in the following weeks just to pay $20 bucks and get knocked out in round 3 or sooner. It is a guaranty that he will win this class every week if you don't bump him up, there is NO challenge for him. Thats enough with my rambling and I hope you can use some of the feed back that I have given. Thanks, Chad

I think one thing they need to look at is SCCA's classes, there are like 14 bajillion classes in that org... They need more than 4 for this event. I like the way that you laid out the classes, that set up makes alot of sense to me.
And that Evo could probably take some of the Outlaws, seriously. The driver is cool, I like his car, but seriously he can kick some ass with that thing
I probably wont be able to make it, I'm getting married in three weeks and the craziness is starting to ramp up.

People told me that **** all the time before I got married and not **** has changed at all like they said. If anything, it has made us stronger. We where together four years before we got married and have almost been married for 3 and just had a kid two months ago. Congrats by the way!

I hope they do change the classes a little bit, I hate the idea of not having a chance in hell.
Also, I think on top of yours, maybe if you have the stock compressor, but a pulley or something, you should stay in the boosted tuner class, if you change your adder at all, then you move to bandit. I cant believe they tried to put me into bandit this week, I have a 3.1" pulley for cryin out loud!

You have to get them at one of the 3 toyota/scion dealerships that are listed on their site. The one that I talked to said they would hold one for me and I can't pick it up until friday. If I can't get it I won't be going back out to TMS. If they change the classes up I will go back out with one of the $15 discount fliers I heard you can pick up at some parts stores.
If anyone is registered over there leave some comments under my threads, or register and leave some comments. We need to let these admins know that if something doesn't change we all will stop coming(even if you don't think you will ever come again).

Hey, i just got back from Toyota of grapevine, i talked to the guy that is doing the sponsering there and he is also in scikotics. He is going to send me an email about august the 7th. He said he has scions comming from all over texas to this event and he want to try and get 500 cars out there for the 7th. So, that being said we need to try and get as many locals as we can to come out on the 7th to the speedway, racing or not. I will post the email he sends me when i get it, i am sure it will be soon, i was very enthused that i got to talk to him about this.
BTW they are alredy planning the next event after the last one this year.

If you dont mind driving go up to toyota of grapevine off of 114, you can rither ask for richard self or i believe his name was Danial. Or call em and ask and tell him you are with the cobalts and he will prolly hook you up. Plus i have an extra ticket, so if you cant get it we can just meet up out there or something.

Anybody that want free tickets meet me at the starbucks at the corner of beach and western center here in fort worth. When I picked mine up today Adam(the guy that has them) said he will be there and give me as many as i would like. He said they will meet there at about 5 and leave at about 5:45. If you don't know where that is just give me a call. If you exit beach st and go north it will take you straight to it. If you can't make it there I do have 2 extra, just let me know so I can meet up with you before I enter.
