well the warm weather brought some folks out to the usual spot tonight... went 1-3 on the night, but the two losses I was racing cars that I knew were fast, just wanted to see how i'd stack up
beat a Silver automatic '10 Camaro SS by about a car from a dig(he jumped me by about 3/4s of a car but I actually launched the best against him than I did anyone else the rest of the night... I started to pull once I got traction and continued to pull until he backed out)... we did another run from about a 35 roll and I got him pretty good after his initial jump...
lost to a cammed/bolt--on/stalled Silver/Black Trans Am.. ran this guy 3 times, 1st race from about a 30ish roll, honestly my best race... he got me about about 2 cars... from a dig he put it on me... from a 55ish roll, I honestly thought i'd give him a run... nope, he thrashed me... it was pretty ugly in that run, of course that is the bottom of 3rd for me, but still, it wouldn't have mattered, he was fast
lost to a nitrous fed Trailblazer SS... from a dig, he spun and it was actually a good race until about 80, he then pulled on me pretty hard... from a roll, he got me by about 2 cars...
he and the TA ran and the TA went 3-0 against him, it was a pretty quick car to not be bottle fed and cam only
there was several other people there racing but those were the only 2 I could get to race, my car has gained a reputation around here through word of mouth, so my gig is up... its now "the fast ass Cobalt"... kind of sucks, I liked it better when I'd pull up have 15 people wanting to race because "those cars aren't that quick"
my brother went with me and when he gets his car back together, we're going to take it... its about to become a bottle baby again as well, he's had it on his car in the past, and pulled it off... its coming back cammed and with a 150 shot... its going to be faster than most cammed/nitrous LS1 f-bodies though, his transmission is built to hold about 800whp and it honestly gave that car about half a second just with getting it built... with bolt-ons/stall/headers/Drag Radials/tune he was going 7.8s-8.0ss through the 1/8th... he got the transmission built... and came back running 7.50s... it shifts so damn smooth, its unreal... just a constant pull, which I know automatics have but you have to ride in this car to understand it... on street tires, it'll bark 3rd gear....and its an automatic, lol... with the cam and nitrous its going to be a runner... he'll be into the 6s
its going to be great seeing cars getting trailered in and getting their tail tucked by the full weight, drove it in and driving it home, street car... that is more impressive to me than some wrinkle wall drag car running fast down the track
Also, I will probably order those wheels at the end of the week...

By the way if any of you go bigger turbo and want Trifecta to re-tune you its $75. But you will get the same service as you did with the factory turbo as far as tuning and datalog. SO $75 is reasonable considering I have 4 tunes saved to file from Vince on the factory turbo.
I'm not sure about Trifecta dealers though.

what are you doing for a clutch?
and I decided to go ahead and work this weekend for OT as well, going to buy some Hawk Brakes and R1 Slotted/Drilled Rotors all around...
will probably wait until I get my headlights and wheels and do them all at once...
going with a wheel that shows off the brakes a lot more than the stockers, I need some bad ass looking rotors to match the Brembi calipers, lol

That PoS spare tire allowed me to get a rim with curb rash fixed and still be able to drive my car. Speaking of which, by some act of God, after I got my rims powder coated, one of the rims got bent
Might have to pull that PoS spare tire out again
