Well the BNR GT2860 is definetly easier to install, but everyone that has one that has posted thus far, has some kind of kink to work out.
All of us with the BNR GT2871 that have posted have our turbo's up and running that I know of.
As far as the BOV for the BNR GT2871, I ordered a BOV with flange (Tial Q w/ 8psi spring), traced out the flange hole on my Dejon Upper Intercooler Pipe, cut the hole out and took it to a local welder to weld the flange on.
You don't need a MAF relocate, but the further away imo you put the the BOV from the turbo on the hotside pipe the better.
I mounted mine in a good spot away from the turbo but had easy access to it if I need to do maitenence on it.
Keep in mind that Vince has my tune turned down a little for the BNR GT2871 till I get a new clutch to handle the power. He told me the challenge after the clutch with new tune would be putting the power to the ground
^^^ To me thats pretty impressive considering, I know I'm making more mid and upper range power and the tune hasn't fully unleashed the potential of the GT2871.

Wes (5.0 guy) got ahold of them earlier and they are supposed to send us the files later today. One of the guys been out sick so just one has been really doing all the work and they are having a problem with the files atm if I understood right. But hopefully I should get them later today and I'll be able to put them up.
Hey,kinda new to these forums. Live in Athens,al. I've been looking around for a 08-10ss/tc cobalt, but can't find any around here forsale! Plus I want one that has the low rise spoiler and prefrably black, red or white. I am willing to travel up to 250 miles to purchase one. I have wanted one of these since they came out in 08,now I can finally afford one(paid off some credit cardsLOL)!
Good luck finding one. I did a dealer inventory search and there were none listed in a 150 mile radius. By the way I live in Athens
Good deal on this Cobalt ss https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/comp...-000-a-232147/
to bad you would have to travel to get it.

It's all good man. I had my pontiac for a while and was on the forum nearly everyday while I had it and am a firm believer in the SS/TC lol. I would have bought one but I have already had 2 G5's and it was time for a change. I'm 20, I have always loved Z's and finally have a good enough job to support the payments associated with a car like my Z. And I know that chances are I will never have another chance to have a ridiculously impractical 2 seater sports car since I don't have kids and all.
My forge motorsport BPV will be here tomorrow, still waiting on Vince to shoot me the updated tune. Not really concerned with the LC rpm since its about to be adjustable through the Ez flash but I still want to get my rev limiter raised to 7k

Meh...I had rather have the turbo/ss,plus I don't like yellow!LOL But thats pretty cool your from athens. Its hard to find peeps around here that like to fix up cars anymore. I use to have a 05 blacked out SRT-4(mopar stage 1,mpx downpipe, injen intake, and agp stage2 wastegate)needless to say...I loved that car! You may have seen it around athens some? I sold it last summer to get some stuff paid off,now I want a ss/tc!haha
Yeah not alot of people outside of V8 rednecks in the area fixing cars up (I do like V8's but not much of a redneck). The HHR SS is my DD and I'm about done as far as engine mods (unless something breaks) on it. Gonna concentrate now on getting a clutch installed, having the tune nailed down and traction mods.
My real project vehicle I been fixing up for track duty is a 96 Eagle Summit Van, its a
5-spd, AWD and I reforged the engine in it and turbocharged it. Just waiting to finish up a DOHC head swap, with cams and turning the boost up from the 15psi I currently have it set at on the SOHC head.
Josh email me that ****. Lol
But really right now it'd do me no good, im stuck in the middle of nowhere with no internet other than my phone
Im going to email Vince tonight to see if I can get a time frame on when the updates will be out and to see about getting my updated file
