I'm getting rid of the purple and hate silver/black/Gunmetal...so I'm going with gold I think...something different but not stand-outish...

I know you are wanting to be different... but that red you put on those other wheels would look pretty good on your car... of course that is a "common" color... Gold could look decent as well, honestly, I figured you'd get tired of purple fast... much like the people who put lime green wheels on their cars did in 2008-2009, lol

it really didnt work on these wheels and it needed a polished lip to pull it off....if i had wheels with a lip i would do white with red lip....but o well...

only one.. just got off the phone with them: they're calling about a transmission

let me tell you how this all started, last night on my way home from class, I had the car pop out of 5th gear with me... didn't think nothing of it... today 3rd gear did it, once again... didn't think anything of it... was leaving the drive thru and 2nd gear grinded.... thought, hmm, if it does that one more time its going back into the shop... literally about 100 yards from my house is a stop sign, I normally don't stop at it, but today a car was at it, so I had to... take off, shift to 2nd, hear a loud clunk, and metal grenading and then the rpms just start going crazy like the car is out of gear... I slow down, try to put the car into 1st.....nothing, it won't shift for anything... won't go into 3rd either... its stuck in 2nd.. So I get out and walk to my house... my dad is doing yard work in the yard and just starts shaking his head, I couldn't be mad... I had to laugh... I guess the bright side is that it didn't happen in the middle of town, lol... plus i was able to take the necessary precautionary measures

the flatbed just got it about 15 minutes ago

supposedly, they are going to try to get the transmission expedited but who knows how successful they will be... like I told them:

Strike Two

One more and its theirs

as far as the Tail of the Dragon, i'm still down... BUT if I don't have my car, I obviously won't go... so still a Yes.......if GM gets off their ass and gets me a transmission, I know its still 2 months away but..........well, I don't have a short memory, lol

i'm sure i'm going to be pissed in a couple of hours once this really sets in but right now, I just have to shake my head in disbelief... I mean it made it 48 hours, that is about 47 hours more than I thought it would once I heard they couldn't get the car into 1st gear... and you know now, I am thinking it was probably more than a shift cable, lol

You need to tell them straight up, if the car breaks after this next fix, thats strike 3 and you will own another Cobalt SS/TC.

That sucks ass man, GM will bend you over and not use lube every chance it gets. I would be livid about now, probably threatening death to some people.

Like I said before, I don't know why anyone would buy a GM vehicle other then getting some kind of extra discount. If you are straight out buying a car there are much better manufacturers out there besides GM these days.

Modern GM is nothing like GM of the past, they take your money and try every thing possible to get out of correcting problems covered under warranty.

Time for you to tell GM to take the Cobalt SS, there warranty back and shove it where the sun don't shine. I mean really everyone worries about getting caught with tunes and **** not getting fixed, but you have a legitment claim and still getting the shaft.

So now what, you going to be without a car another 2 months waiting for a transmission to come in and get fixed?

You can still go to the Tail of the Dragon man, you could always ride up with me.

I'm thinking of bowing out of this Tail of the Dragon meet.
Sounds like its turning into a huge cluster **** with some immature people going and I don't feel like dealing with any drama. People are trying to change location, dates and other ****.
I just want to go, have fun and drive down the tail of the dragon (without being worried about being crashed into).
If the drive down the tail is anything like the Nashville meet cruise from the wave pool to the ice cream place, its going to be havoc on the road (08inBama knows what I'm talking about).
I posted over in the Tail of the Dragon thread.
If either of you want to take over reservations let me know, I'll probably keep it reserved under my name till the beggining of Oct. I should have my mind made up by then whether I'm going or not.

yeah its turning into quite the mess fast and yeah like the Nashville thing, you can have 50 people in a group, 45 of them can drive normal, but the 5 morons can **** it up for everyone... and in that case the 5 morons were out front leading the way...
