im really getting pissed off lately in not getting power to the ground. Happens all the time. Today a buddy of mine goes "give me a ride in this thing i wanna see what its got." i say "alright ill get on it a little bit but im tryign to squeeze all i can outta these tires"

1st gear normal take off
2nd gear i get on it. at 3grand it starts to pull till 3500rpm tires break loose till redline, shift to 3rd, get on it. pulls untill clutch slip at around 4000RPM. Tired of never feeling all the damn torque my car wants to put down. Why would i even put another bolt-on this car or more agressive tune just to feel the same ****. Im hitting a wall that takes alot of money to get past. pretty frustrating. im honestly thinking about tuning my car down so i can be faster than stock with not enough torque to give me clutch slip or excessive spin.

I know the feeling....happens to me with the GTI....though my clutch isn't slipping...it's that my tires break loose way to easy and lately i have been having problems with compressor surge...and bleh...

What I am gathering from you and Matt is that the SS/TC has clutch problems....assuming that you both are running stock clutches...they aren't lasting that long or so it seems

well I have a little more then 100 more ftlb's of torque then stock to the wheels. He has even more then that. Thats a considerable difference and the stock clutch just really isnt rated to much over 300 i dont believe. But i feel like my clutch is prematurely failing compared to what other people claim there numbers are and them saying they have no slip. i baselined at 240, then tuned to 334, then added a few boltons since. expect your clutch to start slipping around that number but people claim to have much higher numbers with no slip, which i just cant fathom since we all have the same car. clutch slip is clutch slip. no matter how high i shift i still get it

well, that would explain it then, sounds like a stg2 or higher clutch is in order then....as soon as i go higher with my power levels, i will be automatically upgrading my clutch, hopefully going to get a nice K04 swap, i am not going to crazy with this car, i will be happy with 250hp, and close to 280ft/lbs...after all my car is a hatchback haha

honestly... untill we get a better fueling option... just stick with the stock turbo.... you use trifecta so he can do some fueling changes for you.

But honestly I haven't seen anybody able to get much over 400whp with the stock fueling system.

Stock turbo at 22.5 psi 363 and 394

GT2871r at 14psi (LOL) 312 and 356 soo the power is there but with severe clutch slip and a poorly calibrated dyno it wouldn't hold more than 14-15psi while it was on the rollers

depends on how aggressive you are.... but I am about 1800psi or so... the system is good to 3500psi (or so I have heard)

ZZP is using a fuel pressure "tricker" like what Trifecta does. The mention exactly what they used... I don't remember.

ye ai believe it just adds resistance to the fuel pressure sensor or something making it think its low so it adds more.

hey matt...what kind of timing advance are you running for 93 octane....i know that the ss/tc and my gti are factory set for 91 octane timing...and since I DO have software to change my timing and a few other things just wondering how many degrees you would advance....i am thinking 3-5 degree advance would do the trick....

as soon as my cable comes in i will be doing some data logging for 2-4th gear, i'll post it up here, should be similar to what you have seen anyway
