as soon as my cable comes in i will be doing some data logging for 2-4th gear, i'll post it up here, should be similar to what you have seen anyway
Stock timing is 10* the GMS1 cars are 11* my car is at 18* of advance, although they say you don't make much power over 14-16* but I have seen increases in airflow and speed through HPT scan logs that is is quicker at 18* than 14*

So, about 5* advance should be good considering I opened up the airflow a lot more over stock and i'm only running 93 octane (no 91 anywhere around me), and that makes the car inherently rich any way, so that should be good enough to make it burn off a little more eh?

went with a 3.75* advance on the timing, a 100rpm idle increase, and a +1 idle torque offset (how much torque is kept at idle, helps with launches), car runs nice and quick now....and as soon as i activate full use for Vag-Com, i will data log the 0-60 times and 1/4 times (+/- .12 on the 1/4mile) but these are taken from the real time data taken from the ECU not track times, they are approximations, may still go with more torque idle offset though, provided that the idle isn't too rough

and does anybody want to use my cobalt as a project car? so long as it doesn't blow up..or get messed up? haha i'm tired of it just sitting in my drive way...

Idk I havent really seen that.. maybe im still too new? lol

Course when it comes to how tos and things of that nature.. I do a lot of searching on here and google.. cuz im sure my questions have been asked before.

One thing I never found was how to do the airbox mod but finally I found a youtube howto video that shows exactly what all needs to be done to remove the airbox.
