I'm stationed at Charleston AFB. You'll probably see me rolling around this summer then as my house is between the AFB and the Naval Weapons Station there. I also go the Naval Weapons Station frequently since we are the EOD team responsible for the base and we use the Range all the time. xskier874 on here is a nuke and just left for the sea today as a matter of a fact, but he should be visiting Charleston this summer. I will return from my current deployment sometime in the June/July time frame.

Locals usually gather around 10pm on Saturday nights at the Kmart on Rivers Ave. if you want to check out some of the local scene. I'll be the only one with no spoiler and gunmetal Rota Subzeros rolling around or you might catch me in my sleeper Integra. Dorchester Drag Way is about a 20 min drive up the road too if you are interested in that. Nice warm weather for most of the year, but you're going to have to get used the humidity and bird sized mosquitos!

 

There is club I am apart of that covers the lower southern states called DSLSJA, we have close to 40 or members in the NC, SC, TN, GA and other areas. Only really negative thing is the club is based out of Charlotte, NC since the founder and most members are from around these parts. Great bunch of dudes though, usually have some fun stuff going on often like install days, little meets, big meets including some traveling(yea, we try to go to places where the most can make it). Yea me and 2k5ss/sc are both LSJ with an ass of mods...But its all good tho...And the clothes mmm its cause i have lived in charleston my whole live and all the dam new nukes walk around in uniform so if ya dont want to stick out like a SEAMEN then just dress normal if you can and yes some people dont like navy guys has nothing to do with you and ur branch of choice just everybody eles who fucked it up before you..O and how old are yall two..

 

yeah i might be going turbo since it will be another few years before i sell my car. so i shouldnt be too slow and im 21.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with most Nukes although they do stick out in their blacks or white uniform everywhere! Especially around Northwoods Mall for some reason as most are still in the phase where they cannot go off base in civilian attire yet! There was one however that tried to insult my intelligence one night at the Kmart meet stating he was a lot smarter because he was a Nuke, and then I rectified him very quickly since I'm trained in everything from bullets to nuclear weapons to IED's. It was rather funny because he tried to do it front of al my buddies that know what my job is.

Anyhow, I'm sure you'll find more than enough to keep yourself occupied in Charleston. There is the historic part, college part, and military part to explore. Plenty of clubs and bars, and the car scene goes year round unless it's raining out. Just let us know when you arrive and we can show you the ropes.

 

14 days more days i get to be a civilian w00t w00t anyways i still havent gotten the answer and i always forget but i know during A school theres no POVs but when is it allowed ?

 

for nuke school yes there is... that was my first question. it is allowed since it such a long school.

 

yeah i know its allowed i just know that there is a restriction on it

 

I have no idea what the restriction is, but Mike had his Cobalt for most of his schooling from what I remember. It shouldn't be too long.
