Hell yeah, i would love to have cams. Which brand r they? And how much r u asking? I should be starting a job at Northop Grumman in a week or 2 so i will get them from u ASAP. R the cams for the 03-05 L61, or r they for the 06+. If its the 06+, sadly, i wont be able to get them, the exhaust cam is about 2 inches shorter, the the newer engine uses a cam position sensor, the 03-05 doesnt. R u in GCE Yellowlt, i dont beleive ive met u before, but ive kind of been out of the loop the last few months
I do beleive the terradactyl thing is a good possability, i have seen those damn things when i go fishing, they always steal my bait. How much did u have to pay for yours at Dauro's? I found one in a
Z24 Cavalier at Barry's, but i would prefer not to have to replace the whole thing, i probally wont ever get it lined up again. If i can have it done at a shop and they **** it up, they have to fix it

Quote from one of the guys over at RLF that was answering alot of my questions when i was reading into tuning.
So this weekend I had the pleasure of tuning TheCaptain's (from CSS.net) car.
Stage 2, AEM intake (the one that uses the stock tube)... no other performance mods.
Here are some highlights from when we started; the stock car was running 10.6 AFR from 6000RPM up. The trims were pig rich. There was mid range knock, toe in knock, and shifting knock.
Process; did the whole tune... nothing spared. Took all day Saturday, but we did it.
After the pre-tune setup, we started with the VE via trims.... rolled it in to -1 to -2 in the DD areas.
Transferred the VE to the MAF for some minty trims.
Switched over to the wideband, for MAF tuning. Pulled everything within +/- .04 AFR through the RPM band. Then transferred that data back to the VE, and set the dynamic based on driving habits.
On to the spark... did the basic removal of knock in the problematic areas. From there, advanced the table where we could until the limit, and backed it off a bit.
Result;
The first thing TheCaptain mentioned was that first gear had more pull to it off the line, and noticed that the car seemed to run more smooth.
From my perspective in the passenger seat, the car pulled better from 4000RPM and up. Leaning out the top end to a more reasonable, yet very conservative 11.6 seemed to give a bit more punch.
The hidden evil of mid range knock was eliminated. Although most drivers can't see it, under full throttle the car is knocking like crazy. For those that don't know... knock kills cars. By eliminating it I'm sure we have prevented a great amount of pre-mature failure.
In closing... without being biased... I highly suggest that all Stage 2 guys try to get tuned. The GM tune may be decent for a DD, but if you get on the throttle at all, a different tune would greatly benefit.

I appreciate the offer dude, but i got a pacesetter 4-1 sitting around, i just have to ceramic coat it. At least i think im going to coat it, from what i hear, if done poorly, it will all just end up chipping and flaking anyway, or even worse, it could cause my header to crack.
