Yeah I figured it would take a different sized plate to mount it on... Big project. I'm tired.

Anthony I'm coming down tomorrow to look at your car.

Here is my contribution to the Air to Air IC... It sounds very simple to me... You would need a plate that would deflect the air out of the manifold though the piping then around to the other side and into the manifold... Here is a quick drawing I made.

But actualy after i looked at that... The way the outlet is on the SC it would be better if the charge air went

I think a Single pass manifold with a higher flow pump with a bigger heat exchanger would work very well...

Not exactly what I my drawing looks like aaron... hold on. Lemme open paint lol

Thanks rusty.

Anthony, like I said earlier, every ss is different, but I'm pretty sure if you put a 3" pulley on your car then it'll lean out, pop the number 4, and you'll be walking to work. Trust me dude. I think the gm stage 2 pulley is around that size? correct me if I'm wrong.

Supercharger pulls air from CAI, then forces it into charge piping, through the intercooler, into motor. It's very simple. Just requires a bit of designing and fabricating.

Hatrickstu, a member of this site, came up with a way of getting rid of the small filler neck and replacing it with a bigger filling jug for the air to water intercooler. Hence the name hatrickstu mod. I'll show it to you when I get my car back.

Kevin and I talked it over and that's the best way to do it that we've come up with. Your adapter plate is good, it just doesn't fit the design I've come up with. This is basically the same as a turbo set up, just swap the turbo with the SC.

On a side note, i saw my car today. It had no bumpers and the new bumpers were painted and sitting beside the car. I talked to them and it'll be the end of next week before I get it back. They are waiting on more parts to come in like splash guards and such. Gotta take my stock side skirts by tomorrow so I can get them to put them on for me. It's nice to see progress.

Yeah the GM stg2 pulley is 77.9mm which equals 3.06692913 inches (said Google) lol.

MY advice Anthony would be to just SAVE up some funds to get "stage 2". it's well worth it and is definitely the most reliable. just my $0.02

Crate Engine Depot has it for the cheapest, shipped... i think

I was told that I could put a 2.9 on a stock tune. I am not brave enough to do it. Cheers!
Trey ill be changing the oil in my bike saturday if you or kevin are bored and wanna ride by. Oh hell anyone!

Actualy You may not lean out at all with a 3.0 pully. The MAF will read the air and dump more fuel. Inless the injectors max out and go static = bad bad bad.

Air to air has been done and with a 2.9 pulley they see IAT2's in excess of 190!!!!

I hate to be the breaker of the ice but you guys do understand you are fighting a lost cause by going air to air. I really dont think you understand how much heat the m62 pumps out. I doubt you would see any gains... Save your self some time and go dual or single pass. Meth injection. Air to water isnt terrible. Its actually quite efficient. The m62 pumps out more heat than any turbo setup

The reason the twin screw is a better SC is due to the fact that the air moves around the outside of the turbine instead of the inside like the M62. Hince why some lower PSI twin screws can go with no inter cooler.

My money will be on no gain out of the air to air supercharger. Sorry
After doing my research on this subject I wont be posting any more on this subject.

the problem with the lotus design on the air to air setup is the ic is still right on top of the engine so the air never gets to really cool all that much. with a front mount ic and it bein further away from the engine it will give the air charge more time to cool and you could always use an n2o ic spray kit or the cryo2 set up to cool the ic even more.

You guys are going to need a bigger heat exchanger to be even with turbo IAT2's

yea i was thinkin somethin around the size that the srt-4's swap to for it.. they run some pretty big fmic's.

and either way it goes it wont be on my car anyways.. lol my boost comes from a bottle that needs to be heated not cooled..
