On June first a few of us local people are going to Mooresville Dragway just mainly to get basic times and to practice the tree. Now before you get all excited, these cars are not cobalts (except one ) but it will still give you the chance to meet some locals.

 

I'll be there as long as I don't have to work too late.

 

Where is mooresville in relation to fayetteville? I'm about 45 minutes (25 minutes in the ss/sc) south of raliegh...interested in meeting some new guys when I get back home...

i know how much it is, and i dont plan on running, but as it says, i dont "plan" on running, i might just get to the gate and say " ahh screw it" im just afraid to get my ass handed to me by silverstreak, my best time was 10.1 something. (with nothing removed from the car ie: spare tire, sub, seats....this all stayed in the car, but i did have a very low fuel tank, enough to run a few times and get to a gas station afterwards) we'll see, i might run i might not. depends on how many balts are gonna be there

edit: reason im afraid of getting my ass handed to me is he has an automatic...lol...and ive never lost to one b4

 

not to sound (in nice terms) like a meany but the first part of your response seemed a little rude to me but just goes to show that you cant tell how people are talking with just typed words (no tone) anyways back to the matter at hand. why does it matter if you win or loose? hell i just go to get times (especially a bunch of stock ones) and compare new times i will get when i start to mod my car (whenever i will be able to) but due to the fact you had a little additional weight in there that did have a slight reaction on your time but dude a 10.1 STOCK is pretty good compared to a lot of other cars. but i also dont see why there have to be other cobalts there. how do you think i feel, im female so everyone always talks **** to me or about my car but heck i dont care what other people have to say I GO TO HAVE FUN! AND DO WHAT I ENJOY DOING!

 

I wouldn't worry too much about me handing your ass to you... 10.1 and 9.9 are very close times when it comes to the track. There are a million factors that can affect your run... from weight... to tire pressure... even down to temperature. The fact that you've got a 5-speed and I'm automatic can make a big difference in your favor... as long as you don't mess up the launch.

Everybody's just there to improve their skills and have some fun... don't worry so much about getting beaten by people and you'll do fine.

 

omg i am so upset!! i cant go now because everyone (except you raine) backed out on me at the last minute! and raine you know how josh is- he wouldnt let me go by myself. so i hope you guys have fun. i so really wanted to go today but dillhole 1 and 2 and possibly 3 ruined that for me.

 

well... that blows... I'm still goin... so I hope to see someone there anyways... if not... I'll be running solo...
