EVERYONE THE MEET LOCATION HAS CHANGED!!! THe updated information is in the first post, the new location will be Tom Lee park in Memphis. For those of you locals, you know that location well as the site of the Beale Street music fest.
Two reasons.

Greenbelt Park is currently underwater. Literally. There are trees and lightpoles sticking up out of the Mississippi river. THe parking lot is ok right now, but who knows how much more rain we're getting. and It's crowded full of people gawking at it.

Secondly(real reason), the girlfriend found out about the meet location and that it was my idea. She was not happy. In fact she's pretty much the opposite of happy with me and she's contemplating whether or not I'm worth the trouble anymore. At this point continuing with the first plan is clearly going to cause her to dump me for good. So as a pitiful attempt to make amends I am moving the meet. Don't know if it will work....but after 2 1/2 years of dating her, I've grown somewhat attached.

The plan is to meet at Tom Lee on Saturday at 2:00pm, chill for a bit, then head to the pyramid. We may not get to park together at the park because it's a more popular location, but the Pyramid is still pretty much barren. If the police come, we'll just leave.

Just one question. How does moving the meet help save your relationship? Im not partial to ether location just curious.

I talked to donna of cruzin south magazine. Her staff will be out covering super chevy show,the corvette show on beale street. but, if I take some pics, she will atleast check them out and maybe publish them.

We are having crazy weather here. Cold,WET, Cold,Warm, WET WET WET, Cold,SNOW, WET, HOT and now COLD. next week who KNOWS. LETS all HOPE for GOOD DRY weather.

just a heads up Cobaltmag.com is thinking about doing an article about the memphis meet in an upcoming issue about how it was planned whats going on at the meet etc. so lets make this a good first ever memphis meet

yeah cobaltmag.com is going to call me sometime today and ask me about the meet so maybe they will send someone down to take pics if the weather is bad i say we all just meet up at tom lee park still cruise somewhere downtown maybe a covered parking gargage that has an empty floor take some pics than we can hit up beale street go to the super chevy show or whatever else comes to mind that sound good to anybody else

 

We have site B, if you guys want to use a covered parking garage.

If I may make a suggestion, I would say we all go and eat at Rendezvous BBQ before ending the meet. My wife would kick my ass if we went to Memphis and didn't eat at Rendezvous.

As far as interviewing I don't mind. I gave my number and will be awaiting a call. I enjoy these meets and I travel around the country for work and try to make to one every were I go. So fare i have been to several in Texas, one in WA, CA, and now Memphis.
