Car went the shop on Fri. Be done by the end of this week and then I can start breaking in that new clutch. I had to drive it to the shop. Man I really miss driving the car

Once more funds come our way I will finish the drive train build and hit the tracks hard this year

Well update time. Good and bad news.

Good is car was finished today and got it back and drove it home.

Bad, for some odd stupid reason he didn't install the new throwout bearing

So now I gotta get with him and have him do it all over again. He said when he was in there the old one looked good and almost new. What a shame, cause I was so excited to put some miles on the car. Now gotta go back to the shop

No it doesn't make any noise all all. But come on, I bought the GMPP clutch and it came with everything which is upgraded clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. I can;t believe it didn't do it.

The used trans I got looked great and alost new, but still, who reuses the throwout bearing even when it's all apart.

Well if things couldn't get worse for me they did. Got a text from the tech that did my car today. He said he'd be able to ge to my car next week and when I'm ready let him know and he'll need another $250 for labor.

WTF!!!! He expected me to pay for his **** up. We argued back and forth through text. Basically his excuse is he was that instructions weren't very specific. "I was told to put a clutch and new trans in and thats it." He said he didn't know it was a used trans and the throw out bearing and it "LOOKED" brand new so he left it. I told him who the **** reuses a throw out bearing and why would you not use ALL the new parts I gave you. He kept arguing I had horrible communication with him and wasn't very specific.

Now I think even if I finally argue enough and convince him to do it for free again, I don't think it'll even be done and don't trust him not to **** up my car on purpose. I just don't trust him to touch my car at all anymore. It blows so bad and i'm just not having good luck with the car this year.

So now I'm really asking for some help from anyone and everyone. I don't like having the feeling of this used throw-out bearing in my car. So I'm gonna do it myself. What I need is some advise and actual help with the install. Anyone that is willing and able to lend a hand and hopefulley knock it out in 1 or 2 days. I have my bro's shop to use and take it to with all the right tools. Just need the help to get it done fast. I can't leave it there for a month working on it off and on or pay another person to do it. I'll figure out with him what day/s I could be there and set this all up.

The car is getting so close to being race worthy. This year I planned on hitting the tracks hard and I don't wanna take the chance of another break down. Only thing left to get is the OTTP mounts and sell my current ones

do you have the lsj build book? it has a photo step by step on a clutch install, so that could help you out.

ironically, i believe they re-used the throw-out bearing...

it's available online, i will try to look it up

If it is a Thursday or Friday that you wanted to get working on it I might be able to come down and help you out. Maybe we could kill two birds with one stone and update my tune also. Anyways, let me know what your schedule looks like for doing this and I'll see what I can do to help you out.
