Not sure what you mean about axle binding, but a lot of lowering springs will have some sort of coil bind by design in the back so that the spring can still extend to full length and not fall out. Unfortunately springs to tend to rotate when compressed and some will make noise over bumps (especially small harsh ones, like driving over cobblestone), and some won't. If they do and you don't like it, you can try some rubber tubing from Home Depot or similar around the shorter coils. It will raise the car back up a tiny bit, but should eliminate the noise.
But this is what XBOBBITOX said when I asked him questions about the car when I got it from Midway after he traded it in He said something about after he lowered it the front end would shake like the tires were going to fall off or something like that but it only would do it in first and second gear he said it was a binding axle problem IDK I have asked every person with a ss/sc I have seen and no one know what Im talking about
So I take my car in because of a valve cover leak, and the front brake pads are toast. The tech in the bay tries to tell me that my warranty might get voided because of the K&N SRI. And thats my only mod.... (considering my stock unmolested ecu is in)
This is what I mean people say it just like you did * not sure what you mean by binding axle*

So is your car shaking as well or are you just concerned because of what happened to his car?

Weird - you definitely shouldn't get any shaking after you lower the car. Lowering it does affect the geometry of the axles, but those joints are made to move. If there is shaking I would double check the struts, the mounting bolts and the wheel nuts. It almost sounds like something was not reconnected correctly.

Its not lowered yet and it doesnt shake right now. Im just wondering if anyone knows about it and what it mite be
Aha, so after a bit of reading it looks like an ideal solution is motor-mount spacers to lift the engine back up and fix the axle geometry. No clue if anyone makes them for the ss/sc though? I never lowered mine when I had it and so never had or looked into the issue before. Solid mounts may fix it as well, since it restricts the movement of the motor and will put less stress on the joints, but then you get all the other vibes.
I had motor mounts go out on my old Pontiac and experienced the same thing, although it was never lowered. The engine shifted so much under acceleration that it caused the CV joints to grind.
Brett this is for you lol
