I wanted to do the same thing but I and a few other members on here invested too much time and money into my build so I'm cupping the car

So got the GTI towed out, and got my GLI back. Mercedes is basically kissing my butt right now trying to make it right. SO I am still getting the GTI, just for a much lower price, 14K miles on body, and a Brand new TSI motor
And I get to keep my trade in in the in between time.... I cant say I am unhappy at all about it. Also saw someone was looking at my 4 door while I was there.

Sedona is nice, next time you are down there, hit up Jerome, its just south of it. Its an awesome like ghost town on top of a mountain and they have some places with some awesome food and drinks. Also a bunch of bars and wineries too.
Ya ive been to Jerome before. We went through Cottonwood and Prescott on the way back.I did 90 all the way back in the kia.Minimal traffic that way and no po-po lol.Ya it was nice and cool up there.High of 91 and the lows were in the 60's
Spent the day derattling my car, my dash is STUFFED with foam and all the connectors were wrapped in tape. Did the doors as well, it sooooo nice. Now onto the smaller less occurring rattles in the roof liner and rear deck! lol
Yeah right!! Ill detail it but im not doin that again haha
It was funny i had an oh **** moment when i was done, i literally had the whole dash apart and put it back together and went to start it and no dice. I was like oh **** i fucked something up dash just read POWER STEERING, start taking everything back apart go to try it one more time just to rerassure myself i messed something up and the rpd didnt light up... moral of the story, if you have an rpd, it has to be plugged in for the car to work
