New to the family

Hey guys, I just bought a 2006 Cobalt SS and just wanted to see if there is like a club or if there are meet ups like at Firebird or the Pavs. This is not my first day as a car geek, but this Cobalt is a whole different animal by far! I live in the Gilbert area, thx!

Welcome Mikey D!

Tell us about your ride!

We used to be much more active a few years back, we've gotten pretty boring as a collective whole as far as groups and meet ups go...

We need to plan a cruise here soon!

Stock (hard to believe it made it a week without modding) Supercharged, it has the Recaro package. However, the dealership failed to put new tires on it and they are way bald, and the clutch is bad I think.... So when I go to lunch in 15 min, Im goin back and if they wont fix her.... Not to sure she will be mine much longer... Oh and its orange

Lame Bobby...

Mikey, They should get it fixed up for you and if they don't just give it right back to them and take your money back... That's some shenanigans.

Bobby text me, let me know when you're heading home or just stop by on your way..

SO it acted fine when dealer took for drive (go figure) but I just read that the symptom is from old clutch/brake fluid, which makes since since the abs light wont turn of after I start the car every so often, so I hope thats it...

I used to have an apex muffler on my Accord that was deep sounding without being too loud. As farf as this car goes I'm not sure as I am still running stock. I was kinda wondering the same thing for when I eventually move up to the 3 inch exhaust.

BS of the DAY:

So I went to install my custom boost reference fuel system and went to the parker store to get all my fittings. My kit will hook directly to the stock fuel lines, so there is not cutting needed, but of course I second guess myself when I bought the fuel adapters... I was going to get the 3/8" then I started asking a couple people what size it was... we all had to guess. I went with the 5/16" and it was wrong. I am going back today to get the correct size. I have everything hooked up except the fuel to the regulator, once I get the right adapters I just gotta release the fuel pressure and hook it up!

I got all the stuff pretty cheap.. I should sell the kit. It is as good or better than the ZZP kit and could cost 50-75$ less. Also for less than 50$ more I could make it return system and that will then be 75-150 less than the OTTP return style.

The 5/16" probably can take it off and when I compared the pipe before I unhooked it looked good but when I took the pipe off the connector was larger.
