Going to dealer

Hi guys , asking this here because I know many if you are very knowledgable regarding our cars. I'm taking mine in as soon as I can to midway , I have had a ticking found for awhile but now it has gotten worse . This is the video and just asking for possibilities . I have been assuming it was the chain / tensioner , but not sure. Thx all Check out this video on YouTube:

That's what it sounds like to me, especially when you held it up close.

yep. Timing Chain tensioner. mine sounded like this, then I took it to the dealer to get replaced and it fixed the issue.

Ok, I also have extended warranty but it's from Gm but should cover it I hope , I'm concerned about aftermarket stage kit... But I don see how those to relate and how they could deny warranty repairs because of it ..

They should could, but you need to find posts where others have had this problem, TSBs, also show them that GM revised the part due to failure.

Should be covered but aftermarket warranties suck ass.
