The requested pic of the Typhoon. I've got a couple cracked/broken pieces of cladding taken off attempting to repair them.

Thanks. I've wanted one for years. Last year one came up for sale in Lubbock for cheap. So I jumped on it. I've spent the last few months fixing all the results of years of neglect and the previous owners lack of automotive knowledge.

sweet man thanks for posting the pic looks like a good project, and nate I am not ballin...I'm broke cause I see something I like and get it...and yes I am just like a kid when it comes to vehicles they are my toys lol...I'm thinking about picking up an 89 s-15 for $500 from a bud, and having that as my project/beater...I want to modify the SRT8 but I'm not rich enough...and almost anything worth getting is at least a grand which I can't justify for the amount of power achieved...and the SS, well fwd + my heavy foot = nothing but spin...so 4 years and have not gotten tired of the power so no need to up it...yet...and that's why I'm notorious for keeping my vehicles stock...that S-15 truck is really slow tho, it has a really tired 2.5 motor with a 5 speed manual, but fun in it's own way...kinda reminded me of my grandpa's 64 f-350 minus the massive size and torque from the huge v8. I think cause it doesn't have power steering, the clutch and shifter are super long, and it's geared low as hell lol

oh my brother got "his wife" a 2010 taurus SHO...I told her when they come down she needs to line it up next to the jeep...and she said anytime...my wife was not happy...also on the way from the dealer he asked her to wait up and take it easy when they where at a light so he could keep up on his focus and get home together, she replied ok... light turned green and she got gone haha...he was not too happy about it, so now after his deployment I have a feeling he'll be in the market for a faster car lol

hey laser enjoy my story lol

He said he would give it to me for 5 cause he knew I was looking for one ways back...I'll see what he lets out for...I gotta tel you tho' when I said it was slow I meant it that engine is really tired I think it only goes about 60...you have to drive it like a semi shift it every 10 or so seconds when driving around...that's why I think it's fun lol

I now has a $500 beater truck...that can't go past 50 cause of fueling issues seems like...I was told it has a new pump...so either it's not getting enough power or something is plugged or loose...good thing I'm a fuel systems mechanic huh...

Nice. As you may have guessed from my screen name, I've owned a few S10s. I sold my last one, bagged 96 ext cab with some motor work, to finance the purchase of the Typhoon. They are fun trucks and about the easiest thing ever to work on and find parts for.

Btw, I finally made it to the track yesterday in the HHR. Best I could pull was a 15.24 @ 90.5mph. Completely stock, 3700ft elevation, 32psi in tires, spare tire in, and 3/4 tank of gas. Guess it isn't too horrible, but I was expecting better. I was a little disappointed until I saw a guy in a Cobalt SS/SC show up and snap a axle less than 5 minutes after getting there. That made me realize it could have been worse. At least I got to drive mine home.

Damn that sucks...the way I think about it is what ever time you thinking add a second lol...and I believe rusty ran a 14.1 on his with a drop in kn and a tune at like 5200 ft...but it was so long ago I can barely remember...and I may be wrong abojt the altitud for the track too lol

And yeah they really are simple machines the 2nd gen ones have way too much crap in the ay though...a budy on mine ordered a 2001 extreme and that thing was very cramped in the engine bay it had the 4.3...and it would top at 99 mph in third spining them on a wet english road...fun times lol... this 2.5l is the oppossite it tops about 50... and the clutch is about the only thing that spins freely if I drop it lol

After talking to guys over on the HHR forums, it sounds like my times are around where they should be. Apparently, a tune goes a long way on these things. Guys over there are doing low 14s/high 13s with the gmtu or trifecta on an otherwise stock HHR.
