So do we know where we're going on this trip? I know were going to sedona, but where are we gonna go IN sedona? A lake, park, bowling alley, shooting gallery?

I think the current plan is a day-camp type of spot where we'll throw down a bbq, but parking in those areas isn't gears towards crowds like ours, so it may be difficult. I think Eric's working on it, though.

 

Yeah, I will be in the HHR. I just figured I would check and make sure it was cool tha I came. Nothing like showing up to find out no one wants you there! Is this a BYOS (bring your own sh*t) kinda thing or is there some kind of money pot to chip into for food an stuff? Has a meeting spot been decided yet? Read through posts and haven't seen a definite answer. Thanks guys for including the black sheep! HAHAHA!

 

Anyone else coming from Tucson? I know we're meeting at 7am and don't mind that. But is anyone coming from the Chandler/Mesa area that I can meet up with? I have no clue about the places ya'll are meeting!

 

im still trying to coordinate this stuff and trying to see what would be needed. so far I wanna do a money pot in case we need to pay for parking ... large groups normally get discounts so it shouldnt be an issue and 5 bucks isn't that bad in itself (just don't get take out one day within the next month and you just paid for parking)

 

I Live in sedona and my dad owns two restuarants. one is at a resort on the side of the highway and theres a nice little drag strip there incase some people want to race.

 

well **** dude hook it up is this 'strip' on private land? ie: cops wont care

 

its on the side of the highway right before entering the resort. id say its about a quarter mile and this is where most drag races are held at night in sedona. theres a lot of little ricey cars around here that think their all badass.

 

oh and just some advice if you see a silver GTO reving his engine at you at the stop light dont race him, its an undercover cop. All the cops here drive half white half black Impalas and have decals that say SEDONA on it with red rocks in the backround. if you guys just want to hang out at a parking lot theres an outlet mall in the village of oak creek which is 10 minutes south of sedona and is where "bell rock" is located

 

I wish we could go...I've never been to Sedona...but we won't be able to make it out there this time. Have fun guys and be safe!

hmm i think we should just go along with the normal plan. reason being I don't want to rely on an outside source to get us what we need and then have that fall through. we should all expect to dish out 10 bucks per person for stuff we need and parking. that is not saying we are going to use it simply to expect to have to dish out 10 bucks at some point in time for stuff.

 

Ok, but what if 12 people dish out 10 bucks and we only end up spending 50 bucks. What happens to the other 70 bucks?

 

well if 12 people went and parking is 5 thats 60 bucks for parking and 60 for food. sounds like it is enough no?

I think we should each be accountable for our expenses. Perhaps talk to the person attending the parking lot and se if we can strike a deal and then have each person pay their bit rather than a community pool. I do like the idea for the community lunch fund. Either way I'm there!

On CIAZ.net there are a few people talking about going, but I'm not sure if they are registered here or not.

 

Something always seems to happen to the cobalt when we go on a cruise with the bunch...just trying to not have to pay for anymore for a while....but maybe we will change our minds...you never know...

 

Sweet deal oni, no speeding this time :p I would love to go on the run with you guys, its been a while, but my MR2 is a lil' under the weather atm. i snapped something, i think its the shifting rod, not sure yet havnt had time to tear things apart till monday. either way though im sure it will be a blast, i might come ride along with tom or something, so you can keep it all cobalt/ion. be fun to hang out with you guys again
