Wrecked again...

This is how last weekend started for me - 6:30am, on my way to play army for the weekend, some guy on a Harley runs a red light & parks his bike in my grill...

So, I'm in need of some parts. I have a bumper cover, but need the bumper, the foam insert & headlights. I could still use my grill, but if someone has one for cheap I'd grab it.

I'd rather support forum members than the junkyards, so if anyone has spares please hit me up.

If he doesn't cover the damages, I would use that Harley for target practice.

Sorry that I didn't add more details & have confused you guys.

Unfortunately, there were no witnesses to the accident, so the cops couldn't establish fault. I said I had the green, he said that he thought that he had the green, etc, etc., etc...

It wouldn't really matter anyways though, because the guy on the Harley didn't have insurance...

I have full coverage, but I still get stuck with paying my deductible of $1000 if I have a body shop do the work. Instead, I plan on getting a good estimate, having my insurance company cut me a check & just doing most of the work myself to save money.

I bought the car wrecked (see thread: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/sout...hoenix-213901/) & basically completely rebuilt the front end just last June, so I know my way around pretty much everything that needs to be done.

The only thing that I'm not confident doing is the paint & I already have a guy lined up to take care of that.

I just need to get the replacement parts together.

He actually launched over the bars when the front of his bike hit the car, so his leg was already in the air before the side of the bike got jacked up.

I was trying to get the cops to really give him a going-over, because the guy (who was like 55 years old) jumped right back up after a couple of bounces on the asphalt like nothing happened & he was acting pretty sketchy - like he was on something.

But it was a cold morning & they just wanted to get their paperwork done...

So Sue him then. Cut and dry if he has no insurance plus ask for a. Polygraph to determine fault

I'm sure that I will look into a Small Claims Court case in the future, but my main concern right now is getting the car fixed.

Well good luck, but I would still make his ass pay one way or another. I hate shady ********. I'm dealing with one that defrauded my insurance at my expense for over $15k. Would be so much easier to show up at his house and make his life a living hell, but that wouldn't bode well for my court case.
