Ok, i know about trade-ins and all but today i got this letter in the mail from the dealership where i got my balt that read..

"(Dealership) has been designated as a site to conduct a special test market pricing and financing event. Your status as a GM customer qualifies you for this sale.

We are in need of acquiring several 2006 Chevrolet Cobalts by April 27th in order to fulfill special vehicle requests. You have been identified as a possible owner of one of these vehicles and our managers have been authorized to buy back your current vehicle at 110% of Kelley Blue Book Value.

We will issue you a check immediately for your vehicle or equity. We will payoff any balance, liens or securitazation up to value."

So, since i know with standard trade-ins you usually dont get no deal like this..I didnt get y they r doin this?...has anyone else gotten anything like this?..and wtf?.."special vehicle requests?"...im wonderin if this has to do with that emissions crap or wut..either way i dont think id qualify cuz im modded and like my balt..

 

They just want you to buy a new car. Standard marketing procedure.

 

Wouldnt hurt to just take it in and see what they say
If you have the oem stuff you can always switch back and sell off you parts

Yeah I know, i was thinkin of takin it to one of the places they have listed on the letter just for the hell of it. I dont have all the OEM parts tho.

lookup what your car is worth, then see how much they will really give you for the cobalt. if you like the numbers they give you then decide what you will be driving home.

 

Im workin on it..last crappy camera i had sucked and broke..well i broke it but...i havent gotten a new 1 yet...

KBB trade in *Good* is about 14,000 plus their "10%" so....I dunno

 

I get those letters all the time. First they wanted to buy my 2001 Camaro SS, then they wanted to buy my 2003 Cavalier. All they want is to get you in the door so you will get that new car bug.

 

Well i have about 2 weeks before they have the meetin place crap...so...ima think about it....

On a side note...i was readin through some of the threads...ne one know if there is a "Norcal" group?

 

whhhat?? if their actually willing to do that(which i doubt) you definately need to take the money

 

I know they keep trying up there, but usually its only 4-6 peps

Slowbalt_06 and i are pretty much the only faithful Nor Cal Cobalts lol.

 

Damn...well...I think i know of some1 in my area that has a red ss/sc...im still workin on findin them tho...everytime i see the car its always parked...(like at the bowln alley or somethin) and im on my way elsewhere...

if there is ne meetins after this wednesday im there....so make it 5-7 peeps..
