Hey guys need your help again. I was driving the other day and noticed a rattle coming from underneath my car. I jacked it up and found out it was the spring on the exhaust manifold. I took a piece of wood and used it to see if it would stop rattling while it was started and it did. My question is should I tighten it up or what? I am kinda lost since this is my only means of transport right now. Now it does drive good but it does seem a little sluggish when I'm going slow though. Has anyone else had this problem?

2 its common knowlege that your econoboxes make noise
3 roll racing isnt racing, so until you walk me from a dig shut the **** up

2)a. the exhaust manifold is not known to make noise...
b. you had a cobalt too long ago...dont try and sound so detached from "our econoboxes"
3) he'd probably take you from a dig too...

 

is it still under warranty?

 

lets put it this way i drove the cobalt (my moms now) earlier that damn thing squeaks more than when i have the targa on my car

the cobalt was designed for to be an econobox na or fi

steve wont beat me from a dig, ever

 

what did you guys race initially? 30-80? how many cars did he have on you
and mine doesnt squeak at all. all cobalts are not created equal

No its not under warrenty and yes I drive the Supercharged model. Has anyone had this problem?

i think i have the same problem, just started happening, the noise come from right under where the driver door is, and it only happens whn u start up cold, but after the car warms up it goes away.

its a compressed air charge, hence charge piping. Go google charge piping and see what comes up. The terms are used interchangeably. Yet you act like the way you hear is the superior way, and the "cobalt crowd" is in the wrong.

its just a motor...more will come that are far better, just as more will come that are far worse. get used to it

this is debatable, but they are very close in their abilities, yet you make it out to be a world of differences. This, however, is just your unbelievable bias for a motor your car doesnt even have

theres a pretty big difference between these two cars. maybe not in the motor, but the drivetrain is a whole new generation.

On the other side of the line, i have never seen you contribute a single piece of technical information about any car or motor anywhere that couldn't be learned from watching youtube videos. That is the honest truth.
Ive seen you be wrong about a bunch of little things, but never seen you be right.

You have yet to post correct information unless it also came from youtube...IE: you dont know anything, and are merely repeating what you hear, regardless of whether its correct or not.

and i agree with hunter. I may not know as much about any oth the guys on here because I am just not that into cars that i spend every waking moment researching **** but i know enough to keep my mouth shut about somtin unless i know it to be true and i know if i am not sure on the subject to state it as a question and not as a truth. Oh and thats why top JDM car builders in multiple import magazines call it charge piping? including guys who build supras
