Yes it does, although nowhere near as big of a difference as it would be for a naturally aspirated car, higher elevation can make quite a dramatic difference on a turbocharged vehicle. How big of an impact you'd see will depend on a lot of factors from the engine characteristics to the turbo utilized to the engine management.

yeah but going to 6500 will bring you closer to the power band when you shift in the next gear? i dont know much about srt-4 exept you get almost a half a liter bigger displacement then me but thats probably why you cant rev as high...
i sold my 11 sec firebird to go hahn level 5 turbo swap!!! then i should be low 11 high boost setting on DR's on race gas or meth injection... so i dont know if you still wanna run me its making 400+whp on race gas 22-24lbs boost 360whp on pump gas 18lbs boost 320whp... should be interesting

i have a guy for you that makes just about the same power as you on pump w/meth......he's still running a stock turbo housing and full boltons.........reverse rotation 18g in a stock housing lol....stupid fast
i wont run you that wouldnt even be a race. well maybe when i get tuned and my spray gets here.......i think that'd be an intresting run....you on all boost no spray ,me running what i have on a 35 shot and a tune..but we could always play around with it like spray for spray on pump gas....hoping after my tune i can make about 330 or so HP...but im not sure i'd have to talk to a few people
well what do you got im sure we can meet half way and have a lil fun
Depends on where and when you go to the track. If you're at Fontana on a bad day the DA probably isn't much better than it would be at a higher elevation track on a cool evening. For example at night under great weather conditions my SRT-4 will do 12.90's at 107-108. On a bad, hot and humid day it will consistently run around 13.40's at 104-105 on the exact same setup (which was also what the car would run up at LACR when they were still open). And if you're used to good track prep then I'm sorry you moved to SoCal.

this is so very true i know with a s1 a srt is supposed to dyno @ 240hp - 260 tq
now me with s1, exhuast, intake....i dyno'd @ 235 hp and 256 tq
so to me that seems like altitude has a decent effect on hp. but not as much as NA cars.
NA cars @ altitude viper gts only running a 13.8
