Well I have a friend with hp tuners and I can buy credits and I can pay the person doing the tune...I just don't know what I am doing and I don't want to screw anything up. Also do you have to buy credits to create a log?

You do not need credits to log. It's$50.00 pet credit and you needed 2 credits to unlock out pcm.
If you go on hptunners.com they have a whole bunch of canned tunes you could try. However without a wideband it's like passing in the wind. You could also log your tune and ask some one their to help you fix your tune. Then you could just upload the new tune and see if it works better.
