I believe I heard it best on American Chopper of all places. To a mechanic or fabricator your box and your tools are essentially your resume. You take as much pride in your tools as you do your projects. That is why you NEVER touch another man's tools without asking. That being said GLWS man I love the box, but I just can't afford it at this point.

the people asking why you pay this kind of money for a box or tools... are not craftsmen, they don't use their hands to bring home money... when you start to do that, you'll realize why people do... as said a man's tools is all he's got to represent himself in a shop...

This is how I pay the bills. It's my life and ya I might loose one here and there but trust me it hurts when I do. Example lost 2 flashlights in the past 2 weeks it hurt spending another 60 for another one

snap on, mac, and craftsman are on the same level? dude have you actually done work on a car with craftsman **** compared to snap on? or mac even? craftsman tools are crap ha. the only thing i could see buying craftsman is maybe some sort of flashlight or maybe sockets. even that id rather get snap on or mac etc. the craftsman **** isnt a percise when it comes to sizes. for instance. grab a 24mm wrench made by snap on. put it on a 24mm bolt and wiggle it. NONE! then grab a craftsman wrench and wiggle it. theres play in it. whether you know it or not its annoying when you work in the field and have crap tools that arent exact... ratchets, air tools, even screw drivers and anything else by craftsman suck. sorry.. theres a reason why they are cheap.. the lifetime warranty is stupid to. i guess its reassuring but how often do you think people will break a wrench or something of that nature ha. thats why they dont put lifetime warranty on airtools.. because they can break easier. for impact guns i like ingersoll. but thats me. or maybe mac.

Granted, sears and craftsman don't have the specialty tools the other 2 do, but for the basic stuff you can pretty much go after work that day and have the new one to use the next morning.

I do own a snap on box though and got a heck of a deal, the only reason i bought it
thats why you get your truck guys cell number and have him drop it off asap... If you spend enough money or make your payments with him on time and he's a good guy there is barely any down time.

I just bought my KRL Snap On Box. Lets see you do this with a craftsman.

My box listed for 9,700 but I got an amazing deal I would rather not brag. But he is probaly right, most people on cobalt site aren't willing to pay more for a toolbox than what their car is worth.

Good Luck
Not being a dick at all but just asking...who would stand in their toolbox in the first place? Lmao. Don't see much of a point. Still cool I suppose
