2.2 Programming sale!

We are happy to annouce the programming for the 2.2 Cobalt is now available.

The price has been set at $275.00.
We are offering the 1st 10 customers a $25.00 discount.

Shipping charges ($25 for ‘ground’, $45 for ‘2nd day’,
and $60 for ‘next day’). Shipping may be extra to Alaska, and Hawaii. Shipping
procedure outside the US is a bit different.

This programming supports both the manual and automatic transmission. However, currently, automatic specific tuning (shift specific, etc.) is not available. The engine management changes are compatible.

If you have any questions about THIS sale, please let me know.

For more info please read the Beta thread:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/supporting-vendor-deals-group-purchases-133/2-2-beta-test-96709/

To answer some questions:

1. Will the engine management tune work with an auto tranny? Yes.

2. If I order the engine management tune for my auto tranny now, will I have to pay full price for a re-tune later? No. You will be issued a voucher for one free up-date. You will be liable to pay shipping to and from Trifecta.

3. If I install a turbo system, can a tune be written for me? Yes, but ONLY under certain conditions. A dyno must be available, you MUST be able to monitor the air/fuel mixture via a wide band sensor, etc, etc. These tunes will require constant availability between you and Trifecta while the programming is written, up-loaded, dyno tested and confirmed. UPDATE: Vince has been able to successfully tune a 2.2 with turbo so a basic program may be available to start with.

4. Will I have a check engine light after the tune. The short answer is "no", however there is always a possibility.

5. Can trouble codes be turned off? Yes, but trouble codes may be related to a problem of which tuning can not be used to correct.

6. Will tuning for the 07 be available soon? Yes, but not for roughly 1 to 2 months.

During the ordering process, customers must provide as much information as possible. This will insure the best tune can be written for each application.

For 2005 Cobalts, in addition to the VIN, we need the following information:
Automatic or manual transmission
15” or 16” wheels stock

For 2006 Cobalts, in addition to the VIN, we need the following information:
Automatic or manual transmission
15” or 16” wheels stock
RPO code: NF4, NT7, or NU3 (RPO tag is in the trunk area)

If you would like to order please go here for details:
https://www.trifectaperformance.com/...r/default.aspx

Thanks again.

I heard simple things were less money, such as code removal only being like $50...is this true? also, if we have an automatic, and we get a tune now, will we have to pay full price to tune the TCM later as well?

i was just wondering if you could give me any help, i am going to get this tune but i am wondering if i should get the tune first or my exhaust. i want to do header back but that is going to take a while to save up for a while and if there won't be a difference i want to get the tune first. any thoughts are much appreciated.

6 left at the discount

Thanks to those who have ordered. For everyone else interested we only have 6 left at the $25.00 off. I also edited my post above with questions & answers to common questions. I am hoping this thread can stay on topic and keep under 25 pages.

Thanks for all your comments. Though Vince deserves the majority of the credit. He is the one who wrote the programming language. I also wanted to say thanks to all of our BETA testers for their cooperation, feedback and support.

If the tune does not work properly can you revert back to stock settings? Also do you happen to have any dyno pics of before and after of a tune

5 Left at discount.

I just edited my initial post above with more info. Please read...

We are very excited at the response we have had. Already 5 orders since Midnight last night.

As far as going back to the original programming if the tuning doesn't work; yes, we can get you back to the opriginal programming. However, keep in mind we would not be releasing this tune unless it did work. There should be no reason it doesn't. Also, just to ellaborate, "not working" means there is a driveability issue. NOT, "it just doesn't feel as fast I as expected" or "I thought it should have made a bigger difference", etc. You know what I mean...

Thanks again.
