Hardcore powell race parts yyz deal
The more I look, the more it seems like Powell offers some genuine quality parts for the Cobalts. I will be a future buyer when I get mine rolling.
And get your online store up. I want to browse, learn, and buy.

thanks and welcome to the YYZ club. You gotta join in on some of our track day or tail of the dragon events next year!
what will be the regular price for these? Will they also be available for sale through CED?
They're very easy to DIY. Autozone has "free rental" program for spring compressors...

I gotta say that installing springs is not the most difficult job in the world. With a few tools a decent hydraulic jack and jack stands, you can install springs without a spring compressor at the front and the rear its not needed at all.
useful aids are: impact gun/heat gun/torx bit for the strut. brake cleaner and rust check. some cleaning rags and band aids if new to this, and a helper is always good. Add vice grips and pb blaster. 18 mm and 21 mm sockets/ BFhammer/prybar. Torque wrench.

damn i just gotta line up some stuff to sell. i already have the Koni Yellows, this will complete the car for now, till i can get a Hardcore bar. you may hear from me early tomorrow, it wont affect your bottom line if i just order through CED correct? if you make more directly through you i will go through you.
of course we make more directly but Tom is very good to deal with. Either way, with Konis you will have the best possible set up at this time, although I gotta say the FE5 struts standup real good.
John or Gloria@powellraceshop.com we can do what we can, combining shipping is a good way of saving money especially as sway bars are long and take up more volume than weight for freight calculations.

Just ordered new tires and a tune.... These will be hard for a lot of people to get since many of us dumped a good amount of saved up cash on black friday.
For anyone on the fence with money to buy them - BUY THEM! I'll be ordering them in a few months or so when time/cash comes along.

I really like to laugh at times like this because its was literally 4-5 months ago, everyone on this site had their dicks hard about pedders.
"Whats the best drop"= Pedders, everyone would always say that even when people are asking for what springs drop the most, they would just say that because they are "the best"
Now look at them. Falling apart for some and rusting out in two years. Nice $300 + well spent. Thank you for a Lifetime Warranty Mr. Powell!!

I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
And before the Pedders I had Sportlines...they didn't rust as much, but they rusted as well. I sold them for a decent amount locally though...MN winters (use of salt) will make anything rust...it doesn't matter how good they are. So don't just take it at face value that the Pedders are complete ****. They handled much better than the Sportlines ever did and ever will.

Until John made these springs Pedders were the best of what was available. He suggested them and used them himself because there were no better options. John has the facility ad ability to develop better options so he's done just that.
I wouldn't say that my Pedders are complete ****. After 15 months, most of which was in Washington state, the coating on mine is still perfect. The springs themselves have gotten a bit weaker though, and I'm sure the rate is less than it was when they were new.

That was going to be my next question...have the Pedders coilovers been better (anyone know)...don't mean to take this off topic. I don't know about for the Cobalt, but I know for the Sonic, the Pedders coilovers are GMPP...makes me wonder on the quality.
And I agree the Pedders aren't complete ****...I just mentioned at face value someone may believe they are complete ****. I'm happy I got over 2 years out of them and they're still on the car. To me, they've been worth it especially compared to the Sportlines I had.
Just need something better since my purchase of a new vehicle seems to be pushed further and further back...not sure I'll be buying a car next spring/summer or if I'll be waiting longer, so I may have my Cobalt even longer (if I even get rid of it when I do get a new vehicle). And my Cobalt will not be going back to stock anytime soon since it's not worth anything, I don't foresee selling it at all.
But that would definitely be an option if John decided to get into the coilover game.
