Very true...I had a set on my ss/sc for about a year and a half no problems whatsoever so I think they are worth $50. Don't see whats the big deal...bulbs are bulbs pretty much on HID's xenon chraged etc. etc. Only major difference is the ballasts and I am sure it does not take rocket science to create a ballast...I mean hell pretty much the same thing as a flourescent light starter....but if you want to spend major bucks on a HID kit that you could get for much cheaper and have the same thing by all means go for it...I will post up some pics of my "cheap" Hid's very soon.

I'm positive most of the ballasts that come with the kits off of Ebay aren't vibration resistant/resin injected. You'll notice over time when you go over bumps in the road that they will flicker like you're flashing your lights at someone. I had a set from Ebay a while ago, they work fine but end up flickering once you go over enough bumps.

These ones are well worth the money over Ebay hid kits. Plus he's a supporting vendor

Agree about supporting the vendor...but that is the reason you mount them well! I mounted mine right under the headlight housing using a bolt they will not move therefore I will not have that problem. As said had a set in the SS/SC of mine for over a year and a half no problems so I put them in my ss/tc

its one thing if you want to tell about you ebay kit in your own thread, but don't come in to a supporting vendor thread and try and push off a different kit, just not cool. i'm sure operatic doesn't care, as he has plenty of support from the rest of his, but just a heads up in the respect department. there is a whole bunch of other threads on the ebay kits and how often they FAIL. least through this supporting vendor you'll have a warranty, and he wont stop until your completely satisfied were someone over ebay you **** them off well enough they'll just stop contacting you and screw the feedback.

which lights would you recommend for the fog lights in an 09 cobalt tc and which harness and ballast? Once I get my projectors, I will be installing them in the high and low beams as well.

3000k in the fogs and either 6000k or 8000k in the low beams

3000k is the best light color you could put in the fogs
