Hurst Shifter - Your Best Value in Shifter Upgrade!
got mine from Aaron A+ quality price and fast shipping. For those complaining about the reverse lockout not working and 5th being hard to find, you need to adjust the cables. They look like they are self adjust but they are not. When i first installed mine in the oem position, reverse lockout didnt work and fifth u had to find, You need to adjust the side to side cable and fifth is butter and reverse lockout works fine. Hurst just didnt include those directions in the kit. My shifter is tighter and better than the oem one now. I dropped a tenth in my quarter mile times just from the shifter alone. Def worth the money twm is rediculously priced
Any knob with a 3/8-24 pattern is going to work as long as the threads aren't super recessed into the knob. I put a Hurst "Indy" T-handle on it this weekend and custom made one out of a budweiser beer tap handle. The only difference is the knob that comes with the shifter has a "skirt" so to say that hangs over part of the shifter.
my friend ryan has the twm in his car and ive driven it, other than the heavier ball, which is easily changeable there was no difference. Hell i even had to adjust his twm for him lol
wanted to let everyone know as well if you are a stickler like my my shift boot was worn at the top by the shifter neck, i looked into new after market boots, but found the oem boot from GM was only 44 dollars new!!
Is the reverse lockout issue fixed yet with the 08+ SS/TC models? I would love to pay less then TWM but if their's works properly and the Hurst doesn't I'll have to get bent... or I'll be staying stock with shifter base bushings and a cable clamp.
