Hurst just didnt include those directions in the kit. My shifter is tighter and better than the oem one now. I dropped a tenth in my quarter mile times just from the shifter alone. Def worth the money twm is rediculously priced
I just want a nice heavy shift knob ti go with it and im set. X2 on the twm tho. Its an awesome shifter but Sooo expensive.

Any knob with a 3/8-24 pattern is going to work as long as the threads aren't super recessed into the knob. I put a Hurst "Indy" T-handle on it this weekend and custom made one out of a budweiser beer tap handle. The only difference is the knob that comes with the shifter has a "skirt" so to say that hangs over part of the shifter.

Do these work for 04 Redlines? Also, I don't think they made any 2008 Ion Redlines. I'm assuming it's just a typo

I believe they work on the 2004 redlines, but someone should confirm first.

the hurst and TWM are not even in the same league, remember you get what you pay for, this is a nice shifter, but having experience with both its nowhere close to the TWM

We have worked with both... Honestly Hurst is the same specs, and a lot cheaper in price.

Yeah, that is all about the cable adjustment, not the shifter itself... There is plenty of adjustment to get them correct.

Is the reverse lockout issue fixed yet with the 08+ SS/TC models? I would love to pay less then TWM but if their's works properly and the Hurst doesn't I'll have to get bent... or I'll be staying stock with shifter base bushings and a cable clamp.
