I think i can make it work if you just have to cut a hole for the latch and drill holes to mount it. or is there more than that?

That's it, and you have to drill in the holes to attach the 3rd brake light from the inside. Also, I recommend not using your trunk struts/shocks.

why does it open too fast or something?
The compression on the stock cylinders is far too stiff for a CF trunk that weighs less than a third the steel trunk weighs.

so for the carbon cobalt ones you dont use the struts/shocks because it opens too fast?

Exactly, it's not hard to take out the struts so you can do whatever you are comfortable with.
