Jarrod, you gotta inspect the package. What if it got damaged during transit. You will have no proof if you don't inspect in front of the delivery guy. I suggest you call UPS with your tracking number and tell them that you will pick it up from their facility so you can inspect the package. Im just sayin'...

I would have loved to pick it up but instead they left it at the office for my apartment building. I was literally checking the status of it every half hour and when it said delivered I was like wtf so i told my boss i'm taking lunch and went home to see where it was. I opened it and luckily nothing got damaged but what could I have even done if it was damaged?
Oh and I took a picture before I had to go back to work lol

so let me get this correct. say im at work and its suppose to be signed for they WONT leave it.
because i have no problem picking it up and inspecting it at the ups location because half the time ups doesnt ring the door bell and they just drop stuff and bounce.

also say i go to inspect it and it is for some reason damaged. what do i do or say to the clerk at ups.

It's very hard to file a claim if the part is damaged and you weren't there to take delivery. My suggestion is one the part gets shipped out and you get a tracking number, call UPS and tell them you won't be home to take delivery and you'll come to their facility to pick it up. I've done it here plenty of times, I don't see why it would be any different anywhere else.
