anyone going to answer my question regarding clear coat?!

 

I don't know the answer and I'm going to paint mine but free quote for ya.

 

A lot of folks that do Carbon Fiber hoods and trunks do clear coat it. I will be doing that to mine.

 

alright cool. so a body shop shld know how to clear cf? or would i have to give them special instructions?

 

Mine is out for delivery today! I a little excited! Lol

 

One thing I would suggest, since we clear it for you already you should hold on to that. We offer a 1 year limited warranty on our clear coat. From chipping or fading. Wait till the 11th month to spend money on re-clearing it.

This is why I hate ups. It said my trunk was out for delivery at 10 am. Well it's 5:30 pm and I haven't seen a truck or heard the doorbell. I bet any money that tomorrow it will say first attempt failed.

I'm a little pissed since I'm leaving for the weekend tomorrow and won't be back til Monday. I pushed back my schedule to make sure I was home when it showed up.

Just my little rant since my whole day was a right off waiting for this to come!

Blame UPS. It's Friday.....

 

I work at ups and it doesnt matter if its friday they get the stuff out haha. we dont have room to just hang on to all of it.

 

They probably came when you had to use the restroom.. I told you not to drink that much water lol.

 

It should already say first attempt failed if they did try to deliver it.

 

The last 5 deliveries that were scheduled to get here on a Friday didn't get here. They don't do Friday.

Lol I would have at least heard the doorbell! I blame ups. If it was in transit for delivery at 10 am, it should have shown up by now. I've had the first and second attempt show up on the same update. The drivers are less than impeccable plus the guy who delivers to my corner of the city barely speaks english

That's great news!! IIRC VIS products don't come clear coated so maybe that's why I assumed they all csme uncleared.

But Kudos to you guys for going the extra mile!

So since they began work on roughly the 1st of Feb...at 1 trunk/day....they should have at least 10 done by now right?

 

You gotta factor in the new mold making process. That alone takes a week or two.

 

Eh...guess I was being optimistic...either way that first update from overseas will be nice :-)

Got my trunk 15 minutes ago. This thing is unbelievably light and it looks awesome!!!!!
