Oh...I thought it was more a size thing than weight but that makes sense I guess. The only reason I thought it came on a pallet was because I bought a used black wingless trunk from a junkyard and they shipped it on a pallet. I'll probably post that for sale in the same thread as the Tjin Trunk.

didnt some one say you dont need the springs or something because its so light

 

almost every carbon or glass hood/trunk or body panel i have seen doesnt not use the struts or requires a lightweight version

 

yup i dont run them on my hood or trunk got aerocatch latches on hood and nada on trunk just stock latch

 

I have a picture of mine open to show that it wouldn't hit the stock antenna. I was told to take the struts out because they put too much pressure on it when it's closed and really you don't need them with this thing it's super light...

no problem. I actually get pretty good reception with my shorty unless i'm in the middle of nowhere lol

 

The shorty is real bad here with all the mountains. I'm moving to Charleston SC on May 1, I'd imagine that being on the coast it'll be better. I'll take the shorty with me.

I got it all gloss black. Someone said I should get a carbon fiber bowtie and put it on the trunk but i'm on the fence about it. If I could get the weave to match up it would look pretty sick tho... hmm
