Twin Subframe Bar Group Buy
Or sell it to me
One tough install
yeah...this was a beast to put on, and so I'll pass along a bit of advice for those about to install it.
Go ahead and install the bolts on one side (these bolts go in just like the stock ones, they don't look like they will, but trust me they do), but only tighten down the rear bolt, leave the front one flush with subframe.
On the other side, pretty much do the same, but before you tighten the rear bolt down, put your bar in place, then tighten the bolt...this might be a little tricky, but it is still the easiest way.
Once the two rear bolts are holding your bar in place, you can then twist the bar up and tighten the two front bolts. Then put on and tighten the nylon nuts included.
I wrestled with this thing for a while trying to make it fit from side to side before I figured out the front to back approach. Just thought I'd save everyone else the trouble.

got a review on performance?
haven't really pushed it yet, but...there is a curve that when she was stock, I could set my cruise control and take it at about 50 mph, and after installing a rear sway bar, I could do the same thing up to 60.....yesterday I set the cruise at 65 and it was just smooth as silk.
When I do this I'm forcing myself to not change lanes, cross lines, etc. and I have noticed these add-ons have really tightened things up. This is in a 45 mph zone and the cops are a little nuts, so that's about as far as I'm willing to push it on this curve.....but it seriously held it's grip, tires never tried to squeal or anything...looking forward to putting it to a real test soon.
I also have a strut bar ordered from Clear Image...it may be overkill at this point, but it also may just be the finishing touch to what is shaping up to be an awesome setup.

that's good to hear. I am anxious for your review as i want one of these. what all other suspension/handling mods do you have?
as far as suspension/handling mods, i only have the ingalls tq damper, bwoody traction bars and bwoody rear strut bar as of yet. i am planning on this piece, the bwoody sway bar end links and a front strut tower bar, as well as the subframe rails and then possibly the TTR rear sway bar. i don't know if i want to lower it yet being a snowplow in ohio but i will brace up everything else i can
Sweet, thanks for the heads up on the install...did you have to use the shims at all?
I have the TTR solid engine mount and tranny mounts, as well as the TTR rear sway. I also have the DC Sports strut bar and i'm riding on Goldline springs. I can't wait to add this to my list, i'll make a review once I slap it on...waiting on my downpipe to do both at the same time while the car is in the air.

I've got a rear sway bar, engine and tranny mounts all from TTR..of course this subframe bar and a strut tower bar on order. Don't think I'm going to lower it, roads are just insanely rough around here. Would like to go with coilovers at some point , but I'll do a brake upgrade before I can afford them. I've heard mixed reviews on the bwoody endlinks, that the bushings wear out quite often...but I don't know personally. I really don't do much drag racing of any type so just with the mounts I get all the traction I need and haven't had any wheel hop.
oh, and the TTR Engine and tranny mounts are in the mail.

I didn't use the shims, the steel has some give to it so you can crank them down pretty good. I had to bend in the rear part where the bolts go, bit of a fitment issue, nothing serious....just on the subframe where the bolts come through, the factory welds are thick and so I had to do some adjustments. Sucked because I chipped the paint I just put on it, but that's the price I guess for not test fitting it first.
me too but with all the suspension upgrades i have it is just sick felling. i have to almost force the car to change lanes
