$200 OTTP Control Arm bushings vs $15 moog

$200 OTTP Control Arm bushings vs $15 moog
I went for an alignment today and they called me back later to say that they cannot align the car until I have my control arm bushings replaced (I assume they are talking about the front lower control arm trailing bushing).
They want to charge me $235 for the replacement (including the cost of the bushings). The alignment will be $95. They were going to use moog bushings they said.
I was looking around online at different types of bushings and came across the OTTP ones.
I was shocked that the moogs were only 15 and the ottp were $200.00
My question is that if I am really only daily driving my car, can I go wrong with the moogs? Sure I might take it to a drag strip a couple times per year but nothing drastic. What is the main benefit of going with the OTTP's?

I'd assume the rears before the fronts.....
Moog is ok for a car you just .... drive. yawn. to the grocery store. yawn. They're rubber, they'll last a while. they'll feel luck a bowl of oatmeal and handle about as well.
Good bushings, such as the Powell bushings that I recommend, are not rubber, are serviceable, and give a noticeable tight feeling and promote increased stability and control.
So, do you want to yawn when you get behind the wheel as you drive to church on Sunday?
Moog is ok for a car you just .... drive. yawn. to the grocery store. yawn. They're rubber, they'll last a while. they'll feel luck a bowl of oatmeal and handle about as well.

Well moogs are btter than stock because they wont be torn to ****. I replaced my fronts with moogs so far so good no noticeable difference other than having new bushings lol

moog ftw. Great products... and usually come with a lifetime warranty. Why spend that much money on control arm bushings unless you are tracking the car? Not this guy.
I put moogs in my Integra.... noticeably stiffer than my old worn out bushings.... and after 35k miles they still look and feel new.
Put the money that you save with using the moogs on something WORTH buying.

worth is a relative term and is different from one guy to the next. The return value on really good bushings make them well WORTH it to me. If you track the car, and you said that you did, you should at least consider the value of better bushings and less wheel hop. In the end you may decide it's not worth the expense but you should at least spend a couple of minutes thinking about it.

I ripped a moog CAB within 3 weeks.
The OTTP are Powell's spherical CABs, if you get them why not from Powell himself?
My next trick is either those and the delrin fronts with new moog ball joints or ZZPs control arms.

I did Moog's zero complaints. Did not look at it as a performance mod anyway. Wasnt going to pay 4 times the amount to have a little more feel in the wheel on my base model than i just hit a couple on ramps fast everyonce in a while.

No, the better bushings actually ride better. They reduce unwanted movement in your suspension and return control to the springs and shocks, letting them do the job they were designed to do.

I have no wheel hop, never had...at least according to this website mc²racing it would feel like my car fell off a lift. I think I will go with the $15 moogs... If I really don't like them, there is not much of a difference between $200 and $230.
Thanks for everyone's input and if I really get into dragstriping/auto x I will look for these powell CABs.
