the inside of the caliper ( inner fender side) the pin has a spring clip. It gets corroded from road salt and lack of maintenence.

you drive the pointed pin from outside ( road side of car) to the inside with a small hard punch that does not exceed the diameter of the pin or you will damage the caliper.

use a hi quality penetrating oil on the inside of the pin. let sit for a bit. a little heat from a propane torch on the inside of the pin

hammer from the outside.

the penetrating oil will attack the corrosion under the pin spring clip. the heat will help burn it up (not too hot, thats why you use a small propane torch not a welding torch,
then wire brush the heck out of the pin end , clean it up, even boil the end of the pin in water and baking soda to get rid of the corrosion. Clean up the pin bore in the caliper with a pipe cleaner and some water and CLR. Nothing too crazy aggressive you dont want to hurt the caliper. Aand install with never seize. Better is to buy a new pin kit from CED they are on the web site and not a lot of money. CED also sell calipers lol
