Talking 5x110 to 4x100

Alright guys, I have a 2009 2.2L Cobalt with the 4x100 bolt pattern.
and my buddy has the 5X110 bolt pattern, he totaled his cobalt a while back and he had JUST bought a $1000 set of rims for his old cobalt that was 4x100, he and him got talking and he wants 4x100 again and I want 5x110 for the SS/NA rims and we wanted to know if we can swap bolt patterns.

I have stated everything about why we want to do this UP above.

Is it possible without buying anything extra?
and we both have rear drums.

PLEASE NO TROLLS OR STUPID COMMENTS, pretty please.

Thanks for looking.

PS I know 4x100 has more rim options, I don't really care.
I like the look of the SS/NA rims.

Both of you have the same trans? If not check to see the hubs for a stick and auto are the same pn. And then you need to be aureboth car have the same amount of splines.

Are the drums the same size?
Both have or dont have abs?

All you need to do is swap hubs and brakes. I just went from 4x100 to the 5x110. No problems at all, only thing is I don't have abs. Pretty sure the tooth count is different on the two hubs so neither one of you will have working abs after. But everything swaps easy.

No, I was gonna make one but I got a little pressed for time so I didn't take enough pictures. Pretty straight forward tho. Get the wheels off, take off the rear drums, the hubs have four bolts I believe they were a 15mm, in bolt rear hubs. You don't even have to take the shoes off but recommend you change them I got a vibration from not doing this. Bolt them backup rear is done. For the front, get the calipers and bracket off, undo the axle nut, get the rotors off and the hubs have three bolts remove hub reinstall in reverse order. Disconnect the front brake lines from the calipers replace the crush washers tighten the banjo bolt, install calipers and brackets bleed the brakes.

There's a link to my photobucket with the pics I took.

Noooo....

I'm doing a 5x110 to 4x100 swap on my HHR SS.
The 'teeth' count is different between the two hubs...
You will lose your ABS.

But, maybe because this is a Cobalt to Cobalt swap, something can be done
To keep the ABS ???

ItalianJoe1 is converting my 5 lug hubs to 4x100 , so that I
Can keep my ABS...:

Yeah, I don't think there would be a problem.

Anyone see any problems with brake likes or anything?

Do an 'ohm' check, on the different hubs.

With my 5 lug ABS hubs, I get 1.5K ohms.

With the Cobalt 4 lug ABS hubs I have on the rear now, 'open' circuit, infinite ohms.

So I have ABS light, traction control light, & ESC light on.
My dash looks like a lit-up christmas tree, at night....

It's not about the resistance of the circuit...
It's the type of sensor being different...
The ECM /BCM is expecting a certain signal.

Also the 'teeth' count is probaby different too...

Had to have been swapped to have drums.

On the tooth issue, both cars may have the same trans, but diff ratios and tire size will make a difference
