abs relearn needed?
abs relearn needed?
Hi guys, had to replace my drivers side rear caliper due to a leak. After repacement bled out the air peddle feels firm but when I get onto snow or ice the fronts will now lock and acuate the abs but only on the front the rear doesn't lock up at all.Is there an abs relearn needed or something I am missing?Only bled the one rear corner since thats where the leak was now the brake bias seems to be all on the front.I've read somewhere the abs needed to be cycled by the tech 2 scanner after bleeding but i'm not sure.Any ideas?

A Tech II can cycle the ABS bleed operation for you, but triggering it by braking hard on a slick surface will do it as well.
ok thanks for the replies.what happens is on a slick surface when i hit the brakes is the fronts will lock up almost as soon as i touch the pedal and cycle the abs but it seems like the rear is doing very little.Whats bad is if I'm trying to make a sharp turn is the front brakes will lock up cycle the abs and I lose traction in the front and the car wants to keep going straight, missing the turn.It is kinda an unsafe condition that that I'm clueless on how to fix.Guess I'll have to take to the stealership to see if they have a clue!
