adjusting bc coilovers?
Okay, so I I had got an alignment the other day, and when I was there I was talking to the guy about height adjustment on my coilovers.. he said to loosen the. Locking ring on the top, and turn the ring about that to adjust height..but what from I've read you loosen the bottom hub locking ring, and then turn the very top ring to raise/lower the car. What my question is, is when I lowered my car to the height that I liked, I did it the hub locking ring way, and i t made the strut rub against my cv boot, and ripped them both..now can I lower my car by loosening the top locking ring and turn the spring locking ring without touching the bottom? If so do I turn the ring to make the spring smaller or larger to lower it? Sorry this prob seems so confusing
Who did you get the coilovers from? I bet BC sized them for normal cobalt axles and not The larger turbo axles. You should get in touch with them. Thinking about it again, I doubt setting the coilovers will make much of a difference. Gotta love when parts change without notice.
For the record. I would set the coilovers by setting the top off the car. Snug but not compressing the sprin. You do not want to preload the spring. The adjust the height of each corner while on the car. The proper way would involve scales, but I guess you can just set it to whatever height if you don't care about performance.

Well as far as I know the car handles great..performance wise the suspension handles real good.. just want it to be a little lower but trying to figure out how to do that without having the strut hit my cv boot..
