adjusting ebrake tension

i took that stupid/huge cover off the ebrake handle and i figured since i was already in there i could just adjust the tension on the ebrake so that i could be able to lock up the back tires if needed. is there anyone who has done this that could help me with it. i checked the how to section and there was a write-up but im not to car smart so really couldnt understand what the guy was talkin bout. anyways any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

You take the plastic cover off the E brake handle which is help on by a clip under the handle itself,,small slot screw driver should work on that pull it off then pull up on the plastic surrounding the handle, it's held on by 4 clips and then the e cable end should be attached into a shaft and on the end a stud with a nut to tighten or loosen the cable tension. On mine I cane only get it to lock up in winter conditions and rain not dry pavement.....hope this helps

Everyone's is different, it is trial and error, what you could do is get your car on a slight hill and throw it in neutral pull up the ebrake, adjust, put ebrake down and make sure it rolls, repeat until your ebrake seems to engage when you want it.

You have DRUMS. My guess is the OP has discs, completely different setup, the disc ones arent anywhere near as effective.
