Ummm....no....

You've got it backwards...225 is the width...the 40 and 45 are the sidewall height...you have a taller tire than he does..that's why you can't get your finger in there.

It's the same as on my car...I have 195/60 15's for winter tires (stock size)...I went with 205/60 for my regular tires...they are slightly wider AND taller even though they are 60 series sidewall.

The first number is width in mm, 2nd number is percentage (for instance...40% of 225 width is the sidewall height), and you know the third...wheel size.

I don't want to spend that kind of money on new springs right now....what other springs are there that will give me a bit better handling? Are the Pro-kit much better than the Sportlines? Progress springs or anything else that handle better? I will be buying my SS/TC struts and shocks in the coming months and wouldn't mind getting some different springs that I can throw on them to make installation easier.

Thanks.

the only springs that will provide better handeling are pedders and MAYBE the pro kit......all the rest....tenzos, h&r, sportlines, zenn, b&g will make the car handle worse.

you are correct 007 i appologize.

boossted- i dont think necessarily that itll make it handle worse.
my suspension outhandles my stock suspension for sure in just the fact that i get no body roll in corners etc and because of that can power thru them better

your on koni struts though where as i am on stock sstc struts which is what i believe he is asking about. . believe me the car handles worse then stock. i think h&r uses the same ecact springs for the lnf and lsj....they should have just put made a new set with better spring rates.

A dealer tried to charge me 1/2 hour labor to remove the feet on their in-ground lifts because my car was too low. They supposedly do this to all the Corvette owners as well. I fought that ****, and won

Yes, what I'm asking is what will handle better than my Sportlines other than Pedders? Right now I have stock FE1 struts and shocks....I will be upgrading to LNF this spring. I'm past the low look and want better handling. Something that will compliment the LNF struts and shocks and my OTT "street" bar. Not sure I'll be doing the front sway (would do the FE5 SS/SC bar if I did). I suppose the best bet is just get the Pedders, but I'm curious what else would handle better than my Sportlines.

Another question...what is the drop on Pedders? Is it at least equal to an SS stock or is it a little lower?

Thanks.

on lnf struts the only thing that will improve a little bit is the pro kit. a great improvement is pedders. just spend the money and do it right. to me pedders are the only way to go if you have or retain your lnf struts otherwise go for a GOOD set of coilovers. and do a lnf front sway bar rather the the ss/sc sway bar

The LNF front sway bar works on the FE1 suspension? I thought there was something I read a while ago that I had to use the 05 SS/SC sway bar because of the way they mount 1 vs 2 something or other...can't remember the comments off the top of my head. If that's the case, I guess 25mm up front will be the way to go.

What all is needed for an LS? Sway bar, clamps, insulators? Do I need to change out the endlinks as well?

I have so many things I want to finish on this car and no money. I might as well shoot for the Pedders then....still curious on the drop they have...do they have this info on Pedders website (drop in inches) or does anybody here have it? OTT sells them correct? I will check their site.

Pedders and SS/TC struts and shocks.
SS/TC front sway setup
Install my exhaust setup (get 2.2 Pacesetter header since I won't be going SC any longer...have the LSJ Pacesetter)
Trifecta tune
TTR engine and tranny mounts
Finally get tires for my MSR 045's

I've decided to just go for handling and fuel economy with my car as I want to pick up a Sky RL or something else that weighs in around 3k lbs and has a good chunk of power.

What did you decide OP?

I've never gotten crap from my dealer...............than again I don't ask them to cover anything in relation to my mods.

I asked them about my warrenty when i decided to lower. Preety much all they said is my shocks wouldnt be covered when they failed. I've since upgrades to Koni shocks so, it dosent really matter anymore.

my car handled better than stock with h&rs over the simple fact that body roll was reduced

Did that make a nice clunking sound when you hit bumps when your strut bearings were out? The dealer here is about to replace both of mine for making all kinds of noise and they can't figure out what it is.

But yeah I even have 48k miles on my 08 and the dealer here is fixing my stuff under warranty. I love knowing people at the dealer lol. They replaced my Control arm bushings a couple weeks ago hoping that was the issue cause it looked jacked up.
