b&g coilover problems

I have a set of B&G coil overs on my ss/tc and the car looks great but there is a lot of noise from the front springs at slow speeds and turning and the rear sound like its going to fall apart over bumps. shocks are all set to the softest setting and the rear springs and shocks are all the way down.... any idea or recom. for what to do. spent to much money for a **** ass ride like these

is the sound like a metallic clang, almost like the spring is binging up then releasing? describe the sound a little better, may be able to help more. where are your sway bar link set at? did you lube any of it?

the noise in the front reminds you of a spring being released at slow speeds when turning. I set my susp. up and adjusted the mouting points of my sway bar after that. they are within .01 of an inch from one another. I micked everything to get as even a ride height from side to side. the noise from the rear is just a really loud knocking noise. it reminds you of the trunk being loose and clunking over bumps. but the trunk is very tight to the body. it may be the batt. but I will verify this before I raise hell with gravana and b&g. any ideas.....

ok, the sound from the front sounds like what i had, do you have pillow ball top mounts? if yes, lubricate them with some oil, if not, find the points where rotation occurs when you turn the strut, and oil there.

for the rears, does it cluck on every little crack and pebble? or is it just bigger bumps? it may be the bump stop, or it may be the shock itself that is loose.

how low do you have it set?

mine made a lot of noise in the beginning, and oiling them and second checking the tightness of everything made a huge difference.

have you brought it in to a shop to be leveled and cross loaded? also aligned?

that's what i'm thinkin, if he makes sure he tightens everything up, and lubes it it will go away. mine squeaked for about 200 miles until the oil soaked into everything.

Boostking does not have Pillow ball mounts.. the only thing in front that can cause the spring to make noise is the stock bearings if they are not allowing the shock to rotate the spring will rotate and make noise.. i suggest making sure the spring is not too tight and putting too much pressure on the bearing or they may need to be replaced.. as for the rear make sure everything is tight.. If you are really a noise can be cause by the spring seats moving around make sure there is something separating them from the body.. IE thin rubber..

^ i wasn't sure if he had them or not, he never answered when i asked, so in that case , you're right, haha, but then again you "made" them, so you would know more.

the frt. was tighten hand tight to the spring and then I locked it there and made minor adjustments left to right until they were very close to the same distance from the lock ring of the spring and the lock ring of the strut bracket. the car has 3,xxx miles its not the bearing. car had 0 susp. problems before the install. as for the rear, the bump stops were removed as per directions and I even modded the stock spring support for the bottom part of the factory spring to fit the coilover on the rear to try and help with the noise from the rear. this did nothing for the noise. I aligned the car (I'm a master nissan tech) as best as I could being the pillow mounts are not yet aval. from b&g. the rear is set as low as it will go and locked there. the car has a slight rake. please cont. with the support. thanks in advance

just got done talking with B&G. Great guys to talk with and will post results of my adjustment and findings tomarrow. thanks for the help B&G.
