They are 8k front and 6K rear. Probably the best entry level system out there. By entry level I mean under 1000. Everything less than these will under perform and you will be disappointed. If you are just getting coil overs to slam your car then you can look at the cheaper options since they ride nice on the street but I wouldnt track them or ride them hard at all.

In the end its your money and your decision but for suspension components you get what you pay for 100% of the time.

Pedders + Koni, and a fat rear bar if you care about handling.

There are a couple of guys here that have them and say they're pretty good.
I was going to get them installed today but I just couldn't make it happen.
If you decide to buy them,You should get them from Adam at THmotorsports(check them out in the vendor directory), nice guy, and the price is the best I've seen. The BC br type are the ones I have and come with the end links. I have purchased springs and other stuff at MP because they have good prices, but believe me, they don't come close to the price Adam will give youand he will answer any question you have.

The stock LNF FE5 struts/shocks are way better than the Koni's.

I absolutely agree about poorly adjusted Konis.

However, I have both stock FE5 struts/shocks and Koni cartridges and the Konis work better if you know how to adjust them for best effect and you have the time to try different settings and record your results.

If you're driving only on the street, stick with stock, it's easier.

Scott

Yep, what Scott said. The rear Konis are a massive improvement. The stock ones don't have enough rebound for any serious work. People have been saying bad things about Koni on here and over on GMSC, but no one actually tested them. I sent my stockers off to have them tested against Konis, but I haven't heard back yet. It's someone that I've known for a long time, and he was going to do it in his spare time for free. If you're talking about the GMSC Koni thread, there's a massive amount of misinformation in it.

The rear of the car used to want to bounce around a lot from side to side. It was obvious that the stock shocks did not have enough rebound. I have the rear Konis set somewhere near half, and it's perfect for track and street. The fronts I adjust depending on condition. I softened it up for the pouring rain cold rain and caught everyone, including very expensive race cars. In the dry, I stiffened them up just a little more, and they worked out great. Faster in the Konis than I was with the stock setup. Honestly, if I had a choice between just Pedders or just Konis, I would take the Konis every day of the week. Twice on Sundays. It's that much better, mostly in the back.

Just installed my BC's yesterday. I only have about 100 miles on them but so far I'm really happy with them. They were a breeze to install and ride great. Big improvement. So far my opinion is that they are well worth the money.

Right. Besides, Koni makes you destroy your factory struts. Never figured out why they couldn't just make the all strut

It's the same ones that THMotorsports and TTR are selling. The more I drive them, the more I like them. There's not enough rebound damping on the stock shocks, especially the rear. GM did what they could with their budget, but the Konis are a ton better.

If I had to do it again, I'd get the hardcore bar first, Konis next, and might not even bother with the Pedders.

Not to thread Jack again but would you say it would be an improvement for us fe5 pedders guys to just upgrade our rear shocks with konis while leaving the front stock or do we need to buy front and back if we are going to do it if that makes sense

Not sure. There's someone else on the board running stock springs with Koni rears though. I forget who it is. Someone that competes in D Stock.
